Publisher's summary

The final book in the Carly Moore series.

Carly had every intention of heading to Dallas to bring down her father, but not as Wyatt Drummand’s hostage. After Wyatt kidnaps her at gunpoint and threatens to turn her over to her father—the man she’s spent the past nine months hiding from—she explains that his plan will get them both killed. But then, he has a surprising revelation she’s not sure she should believe.

Marco Roland is devastated when he realizes his girlfriend has been kidnapped, and he’ll do anything to save her. Even if it means crossing lines he never thought he’d breach....

And back in Drum, Tennessee, Max Drummond is forced to confront ugly truths about his family’s past and present.

With the help of old friends, Carly must decide who can best help her confront her father with proof of his lies and deceptions. If she doesn’t end up murdered first....

Great series conclusion

The exciting fast paced conclusion to Carly Moore’s complicated messy life was another plot twisting could not put it down story. The book picks up following the end of the last book with Bart Drummond now arrested for murder and Carly kidnapped by Wyatt right before she and Marco were about to leave town and go on the run. Drum is still the hot bed of gossip, lies, dirty deals, deception, and powerful men but it may be soon be minus some of the worst inhabitants. Familiar characters are part of the story while Carly gets dragged deeper by Wyatt into danger and her past but more people have Carly’s back than she knows. Unlike the other books in this series, we get the story from three points of view, Carly, Marco and Hank. The book was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. This was a great conclusion to this series and to Carly getting to live her life.

Shannon McManus and Chris Brinkley did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

Love!

Love both narrators! Wish there was a bonus chapter on Carly returning to AK and figuring out what Skeeters paper entailed.

Fantastic Finale

It's sad to say goodbye to Carly and everyone in Drum. This last book tied everything together. The audio version was well worth the wait. I enjoyed listening to Shannon McManus and Chris Brinkley narrate the book. I'm looking forward to whatever is next from Denise Grover Swank.

Just ok

I truly wish Ms. Swank would consider using another narrator vs. Shannon McManus. I wish Chris would've narrated the entire thing. Shannon is a chore to listen to.

I wish this would've ended differently. I loved the series, but i guess I was expecting more justice to be paid to Blakely and Co. best thing about this book was James' cameo.
