About this listen

Kennedy's Last Days is a gripping account of the events leading up to the most notorious crime of the 20th century. Adapted from Bill O’Reilly’s best-selling historical thriller, Killing Kennedy, this audiobook will have young listeners - and grown-ups too - hooked on this fascinating and colorful period of history.

In the first term of his presidency, as the Cold War escalates, John F. Kennedy struggles to contain the growth of Communism while dealing with the many other complexities facing him as president of the United States. In the midst of a 1963 campaign trip to Texas, Kennedy is gunned down by an erratic young drifter named Lee Harvey Oswald. The former Marine Corps sharpshooter escapes the scene, only to be caught and shot dead while in police custody. With an unforgettable cast of characters, non-stop action, and vivid detail, Kennedy's Last Days is history that reads like a thriller. This is a very special audiobook, irresistible on its own or as a compelling companion to Killing Kennedy.

Awesome!

There are so many theories of what happened it was great to read a version that was well researched.
Great narration and held it my interest from beginning to end.

Mistakes during the assignation.

Was a version of the old “what happened but so many mistakes. Accountability and responsibility was wrong 😑?

Waste of a credit

Other than Edward Hermann’s narration, This book proved to be a waste of a credit and provided very little, if any, new insights into JFK’s last days.

Kennedy’s last days

The book progressed nicely as an audio. The sequence of events for me, we’re very well documented based on my memory of the assassination itself.
Even though O’Reilly tends to be a real conservative, I believe his accounting research that he did was very objective. Well done!

Insightful

I always enjoy hearing the rest of the story as Paul Harvey would say but this has been told and retold so many times that there was very little new information. However, that won't stop me from getting the next book.

Skip it

This is a three hour listen. Not worth what Audible/Amazon charges. EXTREMELY disappointing and definitely a RIPOFF

Absolute waste of a credit

I waited for this book expecting it would be like O'reilly's book on Lincoln. It's basically a recitation of facts on the Kennedy assassination that would be useful to a junior high student. No insight and absolutely nothing new. I don't know when I've been more disappointed in a selection. The only redeeming quality in this audiobook is the narration of Edward Herrmann, who I think is the best.

Never again Mr. O'reilly. What a rip-off!

Just OK…

This book was just average in my opinion and didn’t have enlighten me with anything. It’s just a basic retelling.
