Excellent naration and a great story!

If you could sum up Kidnapped in three words, what would they be?

Engaging, historical adventure. Very few narrators are as smooth and accurate as B. J. Harrison, fantastic performance with some difficult material to vocalize especially with the alternate languages and national accents required for an excellent, single person dramatization. Very well done.

What did you like best about this story?

Engaging and an interesting view into mid 18th century life.

What about B. J. Harrison’s performance did you like?

Excellently smooth and dynamic performance with difficult material.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No.

Wow! A great Value!

I was skeptical because of it's $3.95 price but was pleasantly surprised. Good quality and good narrator. I'm sure there are better narrators but for the price, wow!

A fun adventure story

This is the kind of story I would have devoured and read a couple of times as a kid: lots of adventure, some history, and pretty cool settings. I enjoyed that while David was smart and knew a lot, he still made some pretty silly mistakes as young people tend to do.
Also, I loved how David was sorry for some of the violence he committed, even though some of it seemed unavoidable.
There was violence, though nothing too graphic.
I loved this edition narrated by B.J. Harrison. He did a great job with the different accents and characters. I would get more books narrated by him.

Quality narration at a great price

At less than $4, this audiobook is a real bargain. Fantastic performance by the B.J.Harrison, who also narrates the "Classic Tales Podcast".
