About this listen

Charlie Human presents the sequel to the critically acclaimed Apocalypse Now Now.

Baxter has been packed off to Hexpoort, a magical training school for MK6 agents. It sucks, but Baxter slowly learns to control his fledgling abilities and takes his first steps to becoming a dreamwalker. Lessons with Jackie Ronin lead them to suspect that the Obayifo may be involved with a doorway that Baxter inadvertently opened when operating the Mantis. Baxter and Jackie are plunged into the most dangerous place they've encountered yet: Cape Town Fashion Week.

Grim dark Harry Potter

It’s like a grim dark Harry Potter. Juvenile but hilarious, magical but grim dark, overall an enjoyable read.

interesting from start to finish

A very worthy success of the first book, loved it.
It has a proper ending, but I still wouldn't mind another book in this series.

Terrific new author, Worth a listen for sure!

I kept thinking this guys writing reminds me of Kafka or someone similar. Loved books 1 & 2 of this series. Just the right amount of wyrd, with enough believability and character development that the merits of the story doesn’t have to stand alone on the supernatural aspects of the universe being super cool to keep you interested. If you’re a fan of the Nightwise, black Dahlia books by Belcher I think you will love these! The novel is a solid 89/100 in my mind. Check it out!

REALLY ENJOYED THIS SERIES!

I hated to come to the end. Refreshingly original. Everything was on point. Looking forward to more from this author.
