Critic reviews
"All the furniture shoptalk will keep decorating aficionados happy; the rest of us will be more than willing to settle for Deborah's feisty humor and sharp deductive skills." (Booklist)
"Maron continues her usual warm-hearted, family-oriented approach, tempered with observant detail, infectious enthusiasm, and light humor. Highly recommended." (Library Journal)
What did you love best about Killer Market?
Margaret Maron and C. J. Critt make an wonderful team. C. J. Critt could read anything and make it fun, but when she has Margaret Maron's book to read, it's over the top. This is a wonderful book in the middle of a wonderful series about Judge Caroline Knott.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the relaxed and gentle way the people interacted. The mystery. The situations Judge Knott gets herself into. While the suspense is present, it doesn't get too scary. What about C.J. Critt’s performance did you like?
C. J. Critt can make you believe you are in the middle of the story. She is my favorite all time reader/actor. She really does act out the scenes in a wonderful way.Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The whole book was wonderful from beginning to end.Margaret Maron & C.J. Critt

A dramatic reading of a fun mystery..
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
My complaint is that there are LONG pauses at edit points and at the end / beginning of chapters. So long that I thought my device had stopped working several times. There are also quotes that start each chapter that add nothing to the book. That said, I would still recommend a listen.
Keeps your interest

Excellent series!
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
The plot is full of twists and turns to keep the reader turning pages. There is southern hospitality, lots of furniture lore, industry jargon and realistic dialogue. C. J. Critt does a good job narrating the story. It is great they have kept the same narrator so far in the series.
Fun Read
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
In this adventure Judge Deborah Knott travels to High Point, North Carolina. She arrives at the start of the International Home Furnishings Market. Early in the story Deborah meets an eccentric woman who is central to the mystery that unfolds.
The descriptions of the "Market" are vivid and interesting. I felt like I was there with Debrah Knott, seeing everything she was seeing. The characters are varied and unique. The plot moves right along without feeling rushed.
I can't wait to read the next entry in the series.
