About this listen

David Sloane is the best wrongful death attorney in San Francisco. He's a lawyer who can make juries do anything. But despite his professional success, he's plagued by a nightmare of a childhood he cannot consciously remember. When he receives a package from a White House confidant who then turns up dead by apparent suicide, the contents reveal a history he never could have imagined. Now, in search of justice, Sloane must depend on two men he's never met: Charles Jenkins, a former CIA agent turned recluse who suffers the same nightmare; and Tom Molia, a police detective willing to take on just about anyone, including the U.S. Department of Justice. Together, these men must expose a 30-year conspiracy so insidious that it may reach as far as the Oval Office and topple a presidency, if they can stay alive.©2006 Robert Dugoni (P)2006 Books on Tape International Mystery & Crime Legal Political Espionage Fiction Thriller Suspense Mystery Exciting

Critic reviews

"All of Dugoni's characters have a fresh and believable edge, and there is plenty of action in far-flung settings." (Publishers Weekly)
"The action keeps coming, so omnivorous thrill seekers who favor Martini and Grisham may want to give Dugoni a look." (Booklist)

Had to remember to breathe!

If you could sum up Jury Master in three words, what would they be?

Fast-paced action; compelling characters; twists and turns that kept me glued to my headphones. Glad to discover another great mystery writer!

GREAT START TO A PROMISING SERIES!!!

I'm such a fan of Robert Dugoni! All of his novels are different and exciting. When I begin one, I just can't stop listening. David Sloane is a fascinating main character in this series. I've just started this particular series but I can tell you that if this novel is a good representation of what's to come, I CAN'T WAIT. I enjoyed listening to Robertson Dean which was a first for me. I see that the narrator has changed in the second release. I can only hope that he's as good as Dean.

At this point, I can't recommend the entire series but I certainly can say that based on this first novel, I'll be shocked if it disappoints.

Jury Master

Excellent book, I love the Sloane character, full of action, and suspense. I look forward to reading the next book.

As always I let a family member read it on my Kindle while I listen to Audible version.

Excellent narration.

I would highly recommend this book.

Edge of your seat reading

All of the Robert Dugoni books that I have listened to have been top-notch reads, but this one was so intense that I had to force myself to stop listening and get out of my car. The narrator, Robertson Dean, added an intensity that I have not heard before. It is almost as if he didn't take a breath between chapters. It was an absolute adventure to listen to this book. I highly recommend every last minute of it!

Not a legal thriller.

Yes, the main character is a lawyer but he was almost never in the courtroom. it was a thriller but I was looking for whodunit in the courtroom.

Enjoyed every minute

I've enjoyed all the Dugoni books but so far this is my favorite. Turned off the TV and listened wondering why I turned on the TV in the first place. This one had a little of everything from the courtroom through twisted military history mixed with police involvement and action, a little romance and a path laced with charisma and brutality. So many characters, took a little to put them in place but each one a story within the story.

Definitely a good listen for me.
