A ghost train, lost in Time, hurtles through the night...
Two members of Team 236 are trapped on board. Not ideal under any circumstances but catastrophic when they're at each other's throats.
Hot on their heels, but never quite able to catch up, can Lt Grint and his team overcome all obstacles in their way and save their fellow officers before the train disappears for good?
Nor is TPHQ without its own problems as Matthew risks his sanity to track them through the Time Map. And a Mikey-experiment goes horribly wrong, exposing something better left concealed for all Time. What are the Time Police hiding?
And what will they do to keep their secret?

Miss Mildred Percy is a spinster. She does not dance, she has long stopped dreaming, and she certainly does not have adventures. That is, until her great uncle has the audacity to leave her an inheritance, one that includes a dragon’s egg. The egg—as eggs are wont to do—decides to hatch, and Miss Mildred Percy is suddenly thrust out of the role of “spinster and general wallflower” and into the unprecedented position of “spinster and keeper of dragons.” But England has not seen a dragon since…well, ever.

Story
For vibrant, lovely Jean Suttman, the fellowship to study in Rome was the culmination of her dreams, until she undertook an innocent expedition to the ancient Temple of Mithra. From the moment she stepped into the pagan darkness and discovered the corpse of Albert, one of her fellow students, she was afraid. Not even the comforting presence of the perceptive and practical Jacqueline Kirby could erase the fear that was nourished by one small accident after another, "accidents" that came dreadfully close to killing her.

Story
A weekly newspaper dedicated to the weird and the wonderful (but mostly the weird), The Stranger Times is the go-to publication for the unexplained and inexplicable. At least that's their pitch. The reality is rather less auspicious. Their editor is a drunken, foul-tempered and foul-mouthed husk of a man who thinks little of the publication he edits. His staff are a ragtag group of misfits. And as for the assistant editor...well, that job is a revolving door - and it has just revolved to reveal Hannah Willis, who's got problems of her own.

Too much fire trucking fun!
Action, if you’ve listened to the time police series it’s a smooth transition from the last episode, if you’re a new listener you might have a bit of catch up in the first bit. Keeps your attention focused throughout,

The time police are as much fun as a basket full of ….
I love commander hay’s resigned attitude of “whatever can go wrong, will go wrong” when discussing the day’s upcoming events with captain Farrington. Team 236 and ‘Mikey’ mickeljohn keep things in a constant state of chaos and that’s the way we like it. Grint’s and Jane’s attempt at a romantic weekend is hysterical and wince-producing. Brilliantly written. I had many good laughs from this book. Can hardly wait for the next one.

Keeps Getting Better
After spending almost a year binging the St. Mary’s and Time Police books, I was greatly looking forward to this release. It did not disappoint!! I am continually falling in love with Jane, Luke, and Matthew and find myself genuinely worrying for their well being with each adventure. The humor that is laced throughout the books is like no other, and the romance between Grint & Jane is quite entertaining. Although, I can definitely see him throwing her over his shoulder and stomping on their coms in the near future.
These books feed my love of history. This one, with the train barreling through time has a sinister shadow that you truly don’t know they will escape from. The touch on mental health and well being was a much appreciated vibe as all the characters are relatable in some way. Once again, I am finding myself eagerly awaiting the next book.

My favorite author is Jodi Taylor
Jodi Taylor has created a world of characters that I love to visit. Zara Ram brings them to life. I enjoyed reading print versions of the books but the audiobook is a must. The authors sense of humor and cleverness of the dialogue hit just right when read by Zara Ram. Thank you both!
