Publisher's summary

What do you do when you follow a strange girl through a wall into a world where alchemy is real? You move in with her cousin, become a magic barista, and try your hand at higher education one more time.

Only instead of biochemistry and physics, you're taking elixirs and searching the school grounds for secret chambers and long-lost spells.

How do you go from someone who was never supposed to wind up here in the first place to becoming the greatest alchemist that ever lived?

All you'd have to do is find a loophole from the real world that lets you use cheaper ingredients to mimic powerful spells.

Sounds easy, right?

Simply one of the Authors best books

The cover for this book is terrible. If I was the author I would have the cover completely redone, and then rerelease this book along with the next book in the series. I delayed for months purchasing this book because of the cover.
Having said this, the book is actually really good, and I would highly recommend it to fans of this genre. I think you will really enjoy it

This book hit all the sweet spots for me. The story, character depth, and narrator. Great work all the way around. I gonna have to hit Simon up on FB and badger him about book 2.

Hogwarts College Harem

An amazing world and mechanics. Definitely a lot of Harry Potter themes, but a lot of original thoughts as well with regards to the Alchemy rules. Also add in the graphic adult themes and eloquent verbiage and you have an absolutely fantastic book.

Yooohoho, My Main Man! Freaka Fresh Freddy Here!

I sure do hope this new King of Alchemy gets his own due, if you know what I am saying. My man has had a hard life, but now he’s rolling in babes and flames! Tighter than Jersey thongs on the beach. You gotta cut me in dog, Freaka Fresh Freddy knows the streets, just like you do cuz! Now we just gotta ring in the big guy upstairs, and we can get a team together, bigger than Crazy Kane on Ice! If you knowz what I’m saying? No, I didn’t mean Dantum from the book that’s all about me, and he’s just my wing man; no, I’m talking about Go….Simon Archer. How about it? Some real team-up books that will take Characters from across Simon Archers book universe and unite them under an epic saga! Freaka Fresh Freddy knows this Nathan Jones guy has what it takes to throw Weed, Wind, and Fire alongside Forger of Worlds, Level Up, Forge of Gods, altogether into a multiversal Threat of Zaxus The Destroyer!

Out of character: Damn I love Zachary Johnson’s narrations! His Freaka Fresh Freddy from I’m the Bad Guy was stellar, and his narration of every character in KoA I was just as memorable. My review is full of Bias, because I am a Simon Archer fanboy who wants to see team up multiverse crossovers from his insane book series this far.

Well done

My man here (the narrator) needs a better mic. there was some static but nothing to bad. He did a wonderful job narrating. quite engaging and well spoken. if I could send you my mic I would in a heart beat. the mic did you dirty.

the story was marvelous. the science, fantasy alchemy, mixed into a Harry Potter like setting mingled really well. I can't wait to listen onwards to find out what troubles happen next.

WICKED AWESOME!

Intriguing & entertaining Contemporary Fantasy with a generous dollop of well written steamy sex, read by the most talented voice actor I’ve heard in a long time!
Simon Archer is a great writer. He is a unicorn among male authors—not only good at telling a great story, but he actually writes about feelings! This, coupled with the amazing performance of voice actor Zachary Johnson, with his ability to change his amazing voice from one character to the next, you will be drawn in immediately! Do not start this book if you have anything else to do for the next several hours!

Bad Harry Potter Fanfiction Erotica

I rarely write reviews, but at the time of writing this one, there are almost no written reviews for this audiobook. I decided it was worth it to other people to have a heads up what they are getting with this one.

First of all the story is heavily lifted from Harry Potter. I mean, HEAVILY. The main character is a regular person who enters a magical world through a brick wall that moves to create an opening onto a magical street with lots of strangely dressed magical people. He enrolls in the oldest and most respected magical school. Gets to the school by getting on a magical train. Meets another student who is a total jerk and also happens to be from an old family who are also all jerks. Once he is at the school he enrolls in an the magical world version of sports and is naturally gifted for it. Later he gets a map that shows secret and magical locations no one else is aware of... I mean I can go on with this but you probably have a pretty good idea by now.

The problem with this book isn't that its copied practically scene by scene from harry potter, the problem is that it is done BADLY. The author fails to fill details that would make the world feel alive. The author also makes the horrible mistake of making every single person in the book dumb so that the protagonist can be an average joe and look smart.

Speaking of the protagonist he is a drug addict who at the start of the book is working really hard as a meth dealer so he can have a nice stable life. In other words, he is a horrible person at baseline. There is no redemption ark either. No explanation as to why the main character feels its ok to sell meth. It's simply taken for granted that this is an acceptable job to have. In a show of him being charitable he gives his supplier some chemical equations so he can make meth more efficiently.... I mean... this is the guy the reader is supposed to be rooting for?

All of this would make this a pretty bad book. But then for whatever reason, the author felt the need to throw in quite a few explicit sex scenes as well. Understand that I am not a prude. I don't care how many times a character hooks up, has sex, whatever. But the difference between fiction and erotica is in the descriptions of the sex scenes. In a fiction story it will generally be glossed over, maybe used some metaphors, and generally be done with the sex fairly quickly. A book transitions to erotica when the author starts describing in detail genitalia, bodily fluids, and orgasms. This book is erotica. I lost count of the number of sex scenes in this book, 10? 15? not sure. But way more then you would think would be warranted in a book under 10 hours long.

So if you are looking for a terrible harry potter rip off with lots of erotica, then this book is for you! Otherwise, not worth the credit.
