About this listen

A Second Chance Becomes Trouble
After leaving his cheating ex and New York City behind, Mackenzie Byrnes wants to celebrate his new life and new teaching position in New Gothenburg. Only he ends up at a club in need of rescuing from a jerk who won’t take no for an answer. After that embarrassing mess, Mackenzie swears he’s on a man ban. His resolve lasts until he runs into the handsome bouncer who saved him, and then he hands over his phone number, hoping for a date.

A Stalker Who Can’t Look Away
Travis “Eyes” Hughes has two jobs - spy for the president of the Kings of Men MC, and nightclub security. When Travis saves a sexy blond from getting groped against his will, he gets the urge to follow him home to make sure he arrives there safely. One night of watching turns into a habit Travis can’t shake, and an impulse he won’t deny.

Lies Exposed
The closer Travis gets to Mackenzie, the sloppier he becomes. When his half-truths begin to catch up with him, all hell breaks loose with the Kings of Men MC, and Mackenzie finds out Travis isn’t who he said he was. With Travis’s lies exposed, a cop hot on his trail, and his brother in jail - he’s sure he’ll lose Mackenzie as well - but he might be surprised by the strength a certain kindergarten teacher possesses.

Angst, Action and Heat...

King's Eyes is the second book in The Kings of Men MC series by Ki Brightly and MD Gregory. Drama, suspense, action, secrets, steam... this story delivers a great experience and these characters keep you interested. Mackenzie and Travis are great characters.

Narration is done by Kaeomakana Tiwanak. Clean and clear recording and voicework.

vulnerability is hot

First Travis saves MacKenzie and they developed feelings. I Iiked how later MacKenzie returns the favor and saves him and supported him through his problems. It's always great to see a tough guy vulnerable like this. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

Unexpected Love

I enjoyed reading about Travis and Mackenzie. Sometimes you find what you need in the most unexpected places. Who knew a kindergartner teacher be just what Travis needed. He was the calm to his everyday life. And Mackenzie wasn't as innocent as he looked. He understood the MC gang life, even though he didn't approve.

Good story and narration

The authors  Ki Brightly and M D Gregory as well as narrator Kaeomakana Tiwanak are all new to me. The narration was good and enhanced my listening pleasure.

From start to finish I was hooked. I was drawn to Mackenzie Byrnes and Travis “Eyes” Hughes and the story that the authors wove. Rescued by Travis from the unwanted attention of a man who refuses to take no for an answer, Mackenzie swears off men.

Travis is intrigued by the oh so hot man he rescued and wants to make sure he gets home safely. However there is more to Travis than meets the eye. Not only is he a bouncer who handles security for the nightclub but he is also the “eyes” for the president of the Kings of Men MC.

As their relationship develops, what will happens when Travis’s lies are exposed, will Mackenzie forgive him or will Travis lose the man he has fallen for?

The vulnerability that both men show, made for an emotional listen. I loved how supportive Mackenzie was as Travis dealt with his brother’s issues. King’s Eyes is a story of suspense, secrets, heat and had me invested from the start.

Good series

I really like this series but I don't think this is the best narrator for a MC. Worth listening to though!

loved it

I loved this book. Kaeomakana Tiwanak voice is amazing and really brings this story to life. Mackenzie Byrnes leaves New York City after his ex cheated on him. He decides to celebrate his new life and teaching position he got by going out to a club in New Gothenburg. Only he gets harassed by a guy and saved by the club's security. Travis Hughes (Eyes) works as a spy for the president of the Kings of Men MC and security at the club. Travis saves a man and follows him home to make sure he gets home safely. Travis watches him and cant fight the need to keep this man safe. Travis finds ways to bump into Mackenzie. They grow closer but will Travis' secrets and lies push them apart?

Great Series

Travis, a sneaky law breaking bad boy and Mackenzie, a sweet law abiding teacher. These men have different views on life but it makes Travis a better man and Mackenzie a little more understanding. The story is good and makes me want to hear even more about their future. I will be reading or listening to the next book in the series. The only thing that would have made it even better is a different voice for Travis, it did not quite fit his personality, but did not distract from the story. The voice for Mackenzie was perfect.

Travis & Mackenzie

A good story with interesting characters. Travis is part of the Kings of Men MC and meets Mackenzie one night at a club where he is also a bouncer. Since that night, Travis is drawn to Mackenzie and vice versa. Mackenzie doesn't know that Travis is part of a MC and he hates them. Their relationship progresses with lots of the bumps in the road and when truths are exposed, it may just ruin any future they may have. The narrator was ok but his voices are too similar and don't really match all of the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

Good storyline

I’ve never listened to this narrator. It took some time to be comfortable with his voice. I did get used to it and he was ok. I think my issue was that I expected a deeper voice for the motorcycle club members. He was perfect for Mackenzie’s voice.

Mackenzie is a kindergarten teacher. Travis is a member of Kings of Men motorcycle club. Mackenzie’s dislikes MC’s . When he finds out who Travis is he’s angry but the night they spent together was so wonderful he can’t let it go.

Some drama, family issues, dangerous activity, rival gang action, stalking, and sexy pool time. Well written story.
