To know Haiti is to know a history of overcoming. Slaves who overthrew their masters and have been eternally challenged by rejecting whiteness. These are beautiful stories written from the perspective of women with connection to Ville Rose. They tell stories of the Haitians who stayed and those of the diaspora, their plight, but most of all their grounding in a dignified identity. Very well narrated. Inspirational.

Beautiful short stories of strength & resilience
