Good book to listen to.

This book helped me through my ignorance of the subconscious. It actually assisted me in letting go of the fear of whether or not to worship La Santa Muerte. I learned that she is actually a part of us. That we can see aspects of ourselves in her. To know that we are the catalyst that can allow her magic to work or not. The magic is our subconscious. Some areas subconsciously we need her to perform . The lesson is to think of riding a bicycle. You use training wheels, then eventually you don’t need them. When it’s time to recall how you learned, you have a respect to the training wheels. The child in you is forever indebted to the wheels. Now it’s up to you, do you keep them and use them time to time or are you confident enough to use what you learned and do it on your own knowing it is a part of you, but you are now aware that you grew stronger. ( if this makes sense) maybe to some…maybe not. I feel the book helped my spirit and doubts at the same time. Different needs for different people. Just sharing my experience.

La Santa Muerte is a beautifully written book.

In La Santa Muerte book, the author clearly explains, step by step the history and ritual of one of the most enigmatic cults of our times. At times poetic, this book will keep your attention from beginning to end. It makes you want to make the most out of this life and be the best version of yourself.

Almost 5 stars

I liked the book. My one irritation is the egregious comment made about Baron Samedi which I have never found to be true according to the people that actually work with Him. Seems more like a new aged, Wiccanized variation, not authentic.

In regards to the information on LA Santa Muerte, I can't say if it is authentic and accurate or not. To determine that I'd need to speak to my Mexican sisters and brothers that commune with Her. That being said, the book gives a good bit of information and it is interesting enough that I now want to take a trip to Cali and Mexico to find out more.
