About this listen

Throughout history, men have used their wealth, power, and prestige to harass, manipulate, and coerce women to fulfill their sexual desires. Fed up with the "good ole boy" status quo, the Black Widow appears in Kansas City to avenge the women who have fallen victim to their male predators.

Fate throws PI Walt Williams into the path of the Widow as she exacts her vengeance on the guilty. Is the Black Widow a new cult heroine or a cold-blooded killer? Decide for yourself!

Shades of Gray for Lady Justice

Robert Thornhill has done it again with another book that fits today’s headlines. This book has serious issues of vigilante justice and human trafficking woven into one gripping book. I love how the author incorporates humor into each book, but doesn’t take away from the story. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series. George Kuch does the narration justice by giving distinguished voices to the various characters. I love the characters of Walt, Maggie, Ox and the gang. Listening to the book is catching up on old friends. I love the Lady Justice series and found this one to be great. It is ironic that the Black Widow and I share a name.

Great Series

I absolutely love this series as they are thought provoking with humor. In this book it about a woman (Jan, a reporter) who takes revenge on males who harm women and children is known as the Black Widow. As usual Walt becomes involved in a couple of the cases. I love all of the characters especially Walt and his extended family. Great narration as usual. Highly recommend if you enjoy thought provoking mysteries with humor. Keep them coming! I was given this free audiobook by author and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU!!!!

First I've read

Lady Justice and the Black Widow.
First book in the series I've read and Wow it's really good, Plenty of plot and well written tension, it captured my imagination and held it till the final word.
Normally I read darker thrillers this may not be noir - but it is an excellent read.
I will try more in the series.

Spot on !

Another great read from Robert Thornhill
There was so much going on in this book. Mr Thornhill does a nice job of bringing you through the mystery while keeping his cards close to his chest, and keeping us invested in the story.. It's spot on with what is currently happening in out society today.. As book 30 in the series. But each can stand alone on its own !!

Highly recommended !!

An Itsy Bitsy Spider

Lady Justice and the Black Widow
By: Robert Thornhill

Here we are at episode 30 in the Lady Justice series. Walt is called into action again as men with dubious reputations are found, dead with a calling card from The Black Widow placed on their bodies. There is suspense as well as humor to go along with the current topic #metoo. Thornhill does a good job letting the listener choose for themselves which is more evil. I love this series! It makes me think and then laugh, or is it the other way around.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. George Kuch brings this entire series to life. Thanks for the entertainment!

another great story from Thornhill.

I always enjoy these books. The author has a great way of looking at our country. I always come away with something new to think about and a great story on top of it.

Lady Justice and the Black Widow

Walt and his crew get sucked in again and this time it’s a serial killer that is dealing out its own justice. There are a few difficult choices that have to be made in order to make the town safe again and it makes you wonder how far you would be willing to take it to make things safe again. Another fantastic listen!

Women taking a stand

One woman had decided she can no longer take men in power type positions taking advantage of women and them not being believed when they try to come forward. She decides to deliver her own kind of justice. No one will suspect her because of the job that she does. She begins to target such men and kills them. Who leaves a calling card? The black widow, of course. On multiple occasions the black widow crosses paths with Walt and the gang and they actually end up working together. This One will get You in its Web!

Robert Thornhill has put done himself with this one! Walt, our hero, has been thrust once again deeply into a very serious subject. One of the cool aspect of these 38 books, besides taking place in Kansas City, we are presented with positive and negative, we get to make up our minds who's guilty, yet are they really? Do the means justify the methods? Our Walt in every audible presentation is again outstanding, George Kuch!!! Another one of my favorite aspects is always a serious, current matter, with a well-defined dose of humor. This one is, in my honest opinion, BEST of books I've read or listened to. Buy, enjoy, review!

Lady Justice and the Black Widow. Book 30

Walt works with the Black Widow to solve cases of women abducted and forced to become sex slaves. Does Walt have a problem working with the Black Widow? Yes and no. The Black Widow kills several men that prey on women, but in the end justice has been served, in most cases where the law failed. I for one rooted for the Black Widow all throughout the book!

George Kuch does an amazing job narrating, as always.
