Publisher's summary

With the death of a young black man, Walt and Ox are dragged into the eye of a storm as Kansas City erupts in violence and demonstrations.

Fearing for their lives, Captain Short sends them on assignment to Cabo San Lucas where they find themselves in the eye of a very different and even more dangerous storm - Hurricane Odile.

Surviving these ordeals pushes both men beyond the limits of anything they have experienced, and leaves Walt facing one of the most important decisions of his life.

Tense! Highly recommend!

Robert Thornhill masters the story while presenting both sides of the scales of Lady Justice. Heart-pounding tension throughout. Very thought-provoking!

George Kuch brings all the old friends that we have come to know and love to life.

A relevant story for this time.

This story is about two cops caught up in a shooting controversy, then a real account of the author and his wife caught in a hurricane. Great book and as always the narration is superb. Loved it.

Way to go Walt

Oh my! A hurricane what! As always Robert Thornhill has caught my attention and kept me entertained. I find when I read one of Roberts books I learn more about what ever topic he has chosen for the story line. In this book I got a first hand look at what a hurricane can be like. Well done again Robert. Also George Kuch does the most amazing job of narrating this series. He is the true voice of Walt Williams. Not to give anything away but the ending of this book leaves the reader wondering where this story will go next in Walt's life

REALITY SO CLOSE TO HOME

As much as I enjoyed the return of all the characters, I was more than a little depressed after listening to this audiobook. I guess that telling it like it really is ... is just too much for me. I know that there is always some reality in the Lady Justice books but this one came way too close to home. However, this will not stop me from continuing to listen/read this series.

Serious Times

I absolutely love this series as they are very thought provoking subjects while being somewhat humorous. I love the characters of Walt, Ox, Maggie, Judy and his extended family. In this book it discusses very serious matter where all lives matter, one where cop kills African American boy and people fight to survive deadly hurricane. Great narration as usual. This book was given to me by author and I provided this voluntary review. Keep them coming!! THANK YOU!!

Eye of Storms

Lady Justice in the eye of the storm
: Robert Thornhill

This latest volume in "The Lady Justice" series combines fact and fiction. The officer involved shooting that contributited to "The Black Lives Matter," "Cop Lives Matter," "All lives Matter," controversy is explored with Walt and Ox involved. As a way to remove them from controversy they are sent to Caba on "special assignment." Nobody bothered to tell them a hurricane was about to hit. The gang back home is worried and Bernice has the best advice of anyone.

Anonther thought provocing book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. George Kuch never lets the listener down!

another wonderful listen

As is the normal for this author he goes outside the box bring you a delightful dry humor that keeps you laughing as well as a few hold your breath moments. Jerry normally has some bad jokes, some are cute but none really funny. Walt is his normal dry self that really keeps you laughing alone with the other casts. Each story in this series is better than the other. I know when I pick up a audio from this author and narrator I am in for a heck of a good time. I just love how this author thinks outside the box giving you a very serious story but filled with humor and a few thrills and maybe even a chill as we take a walk on the wild side never knowing how what twisted story he will come up with next. I totally love his stories.

The narrator as always does a wonderful job. He did an outstanding job. I love his character voices which fits the characters to a T, he gives true emotion to each of them, making you believe that it is truly happening before your eyes. There are no repeating of words, no volume changes, no background noise just a very delightful clear audio that I truly loved.
