About this listen

Nathaniel Pierce ran away from home and the painful memories of his past. He's recreated himself in Eureka Springs. No longer a veterinarian, he's Nate the landscaper. When old Lilly Connor dies, the whole town turns to him to watch out for her granddaughter.

Lilly Ramirez never knew she was named after her grandmother. In fact, she didn't know she existed. She heads to Eureka Springs against her mother's wishes to learn about the hidden side of her family, and hopefully find direction for her life. The small town isn't anything like she expected, it's way better. The only downside is the sinfully hot man that feels the need to judge her for things that were out of her control.

He wants to forget, and she wants to be enough. Can they work out their issues to find love?

A fun, spicy romance!

This was a lot of fun. Lilly and Nate were such a mess. I loved that Lilly was so feisty and kept pushing Nate forward in his healing process even though she didn't know what he needed to get over. I laughed and other times my heart ached for both of them. It was also great to get glimpses of Kerri and Eric from Chocolate Kisses. Still no happily ever after for them. Maybe the author will give it to them soon?

The narrator was fantastic. I loved the southern accents (maybe because I'm from the south and it made me happy). She also did a great job with the Spanish phrases. They sounded natural. Pruner also put a lot of emotion into her reading. It's what I imagine watching a show would sound like if I was blind. I could feel it.

Lovely!

Landscape Love is a bittersweet story of two lost souls who are brought together to help each other heal. Nate has run from his former life as a veterinarian when his wife and unborn son were killed in a crash. He is hiding in plain sight, but his feelings are buried deeply. Lilly just found out that her grandmother has left her an inheritance, a grandmother she never knew existed. Lilly's mother hasn't spoken to her mother since before Lilly was born and the reason comes out slowly. As Lilly sorts through her grandmother's things, she learns of a different life that she knows nothing about. What she learns about her mother would be touching, if her mother weren't such a coldhearted woman. Lilly and Nate have hot chemistry that sizzles, both hot and cold, and he is starting to feel things for her that he shouldn't. He hasn't let go of his wife, yet, and Lilly won't settle for second best. This is a truly lovely story and I am cheering for them to make it as a couple. The characters that populate other books in this series become an essential part of the story, but this definitely works as a standalone.
Kelly Pruner does a wonderful job with the narration. Her clear, dynamic voice is well-paced and modulated as she brings each character to life.

Sweet and Emotional

This is the third book in the Eureka in Love series, a small town romance. Nathaniel (Nath) and Lilly's story is sweet, and emotional, filled with secrets, and family drama. I loved their slow burn romance. The ending is heartwarming. Kelly Pruner did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it.

Beautiful story

A very well-written and emotional story about hidden secrets and second chances. A sweet and spicy romance where two lost souls are brought together. Nate and Lilly do not get off to a good start, but begin to grow closer as the story progresses and it was great to watch them build a beautiful relationship. The narration was well done and really brought the story and characters to life. I would definitely like to listen to more books by this narrator. This is the third book of the series but is easily a standalone. After listening to this story, I'd love to go back and read/listen to the others.

Lovely story, happy to recommend!

Nate and Lilly

This is the story of Lilly and Nate. It is a sweet clean romance.
Lilly is surprised by an inheritance from a grandmother she did not know about. She is living at the grandmother’s house while sorting things out. Nate is a local landscaper, but really was a veterinarian.
Nate was the grandmother’s friend and was with her to the end. It is a rocky start, but friendship then romance develops. Both have to work through their own baggage and emotions.
At one point I was getting really ticked at Lilly for being so short sighted, judgmental, and unfair to Nate. I am glad she finally got over herself, so the story could have a happy ending. Narration was well done.

A completely clean, perfectly spicy love story

This sweet, fun romance is a clean sizzler that is as much fun as the spicy food loved by the characters.
Nathaniel is supposed to help Lily #2 when she gets to town at the bequest of her estranged grandmother, Lily #1. This really rubs Nathaniel the wrong way, until he gets to know Liliana. Through her he learns that every story has multiple sides, and maybe the finger he has been pointing should have been aimed at himself the whole time.

Two troubled kids find their way.

Nate has run away from his tragic past. Away from his past life to forget and heal. To find himself again. Lilky has come to accept her inheritance from the grandmother that she never met. She wants to learn about her namesake. They meet and instantly dislike each other. So how do they find their HEA? A sweet read with characters from other books in this Eureka Springs series.
I was gifted an audio version of this book from the author through Story Origin. I found the narrator's voice for the main character scratchy and too high. Otherwise ok.
4 stars for the book. 3 stars for the narrator.
