About this listen

What do a dead cosplayer and a ritual murder have in common? Plenty.

Solaria Ainsworth isn't a paladin, she's not even an ordained Templar Knight, but she can't resist poking her nose into police business when magicians are found murdered in Baltimore. When the murders spread to include those of the magical group Haul Du, she rethinks her participation in the investigation. Why should she bother to assist a group that kicked her out the moment they discovered she was a Templar, the group that forbade any of their members to have contact with her?

Is the killer an angel or a demon, or both? No matter her old grudge, Aria can't ignore the bloodbath right under her nose, and she definitely can't ignore the practice of death magic that has stolen innocent lives and souls.

another great story by Ms Dunbar
Elizabeth has a lovely voice.
The audio makes being stuck in traffic NO big deal.

Taking her calling

I love how she keeps putting off her vows of becoming a knight, but yet she is doing all the work. she should take the vows, then at least she could get paid for risking her life over and over.

Great new series!!!

If you love urban fantasy that is well written with smart, witty, kick-ass characters then this is your kind of book. There is also romance but nothing too cheesy or x-rated. Overall the book has all the makings of a great novel. Can't wait to see where Debra takes Solaris's Templar quest next.... Just wish all 4 novels were already on Audio.

Aria seems satisfied to fit her beliefs into a modern world.

Excellent continuation of this Templar's story. There are Demons rouge mages, an Angel and many deaths in this book. At the end Aria has to make an impossible decision.
