After barely surviving a terrifying stalker, Kip is reexamining his life choices. There’s nothing like almost dying to make you take stock of things.

One bright spot is that the ever-maddening Merrick Dawson has stopped following him around picking on him. Merrick has begun dating Peter Harris, who by all accounts is a wonderful guy. Peter is nice. He’s handsome. He’s downright annoyingly perfect.

When Kip is asked out on a romantic sunset cruise by one of Pearl Cove’s most eligible bachelors, he decides he has nothing to lose. Unless he wants to spend the rest of his days alone, he needs to be proactive about finding love.

But when Kip shows up for the cruise, instead of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, he finds his date dead.

This is book two in my Kip O'Connor M/M Cozy Mystery series. Each book has a cozy feel to it and there is a strong romantic (slow burn) storyline in each book. No described steam but some mild violence.

I alway enjoyed her book and James Woolrich does an amazing job narrating the story almost like you are watching the scene play out.

Well, I liked the first more. That said, this one it's fun and entertaining, and we finally see Kit and Merrick reaching an understanding. And it was fun seeing Merrick not so in control.

And although I wasn't so enthralled by the mystery, it was good and kept me guessing.

There were a lot of unrelated things going on, though and they weren't really important to the story except as red herrings but then, what's a mystery without red herrings *laughs*.

But I liked Thomas a lot more here, so there is that *laughs*

And I really, really like Kit, I adore Spot and I'm willing to keep reading this series :P

I quickly hopped onto this book after devouring the first one and was delighted as the story picked up almost where it had ended with the first book. I kind of felt bad for Kip, all these bad things kept happening to him! I still had a few moments where I had to really think about who was talking and who wasn't but the overall story was worth the listen. There were definitely times I wanted to strangle Kip for being so completely dense but in the end... he eventually saw the light. Great story. Looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed this story so when it came out on audio I was super excited. I have really enjoyed these books. I have gotten to know the charters and I feel myself being pulled into their story. The storyline was really good and it kept me on the edge of my seat trying to guess what was coming next in the story. The narrator did a great job with the charters in this book and their story. I can not wait for the next audiobook to come out.

Poor Kip! A Valentine's Day date with gorgeous, wealthy Alistair Green ends before it even gets started, due to his date's mysterious death. Then there's the turmoil caused by the return of a long lost member of the Green family, a situation that Kip gets caught up in much to his surprise. Lots of twists and turns and some surprises. I'm becoming very fond of Kip and am looking forward to his next adventure.

I am so happy to see more MM cozy mystery series popping up! And I like this series, it has engaging main characters, fun and a little quirky side characters and a solid mystery to drive the plot. Watching Kip stumble into each mystery, and Merrick try to rein him in, makes for a fun story. The narration is well done and I usually didn't have any trouble following who was speaking. I really liked this audio and am looking forward to more!

I was so happy to slip back into the world of Kip! Of course you know trouble will find its way to him.
This cozy mystery was a perfect book to curl up with on this cold winter day. With a cup of tea by my side I was lost in the world of Kip and Merrick.

The chemistry, attraction and want that runs between Kip and Merrick is so thick it jumps right of the page. I love watching their relationship progress.

The flow of the story kept me on the edge of my seat, turning page after page trying to figure out the who dun it! I am a fan of S.C. Wynne for a good reason. She writes well developed characters that are intriguing to the reader.
James Woodrich does a wonderful job of bringing this story to life.
