About this listen

For over five thousand years, there were always three binding rules for all Masters of Sinanju: 1) Payment is always in gold. No checks. 2) There is only one Master and one pupil. 3) No woman will ever be trained in Sinanju.

Sunny Joe Roam will throw the last two rules out the window in order to fulfill his tribe's oldest commitment. He will train both Stone Smith and his half-sister, Freya Williams, in the deadly art of Sinanju, ushering in a new era for the tribe. But will the lethal brother-sister duo be enough to help their new boss, Benjamin Cole, stop the Great Mexican Ninja Army from invading the southwestern United States?

I have no negative criticism whatsoever toward Warren Murphy or with the Sinanju Universe he and Richard Sapir created.

I take some small discomfort in the way the male narrator mispronounces some things. reminds me of how in the 80s, to many, all martial arts we're "Krotty". Funny thing is that he pronounces Karate correctly.

Anyhow, if you can past him saying "Sinānju" or "Choon" the way that he does, you'll get to hear an otherwise great story.

Great Book! Narration...mostly good.

A great comeback that had all the quirky action/humor and mythological espionage of the original series.I hope to see more of these with longer stories, if only the production is given another chance. I also wish for a single narrator, the multiple cast members were distracting, not necessarily a positive impact on the mood or setting? !

A fun but short-lived comeback for Sinanju

This was a decent story destroyed by the voice actors. They sounded like the worst SNL characters impressions ever recorded. Go back to a good reader and no music. And don't destroy the Destroyer series.

Crap production and voice actors

I’ve read this series since 1975. Glad to see it has continued. It was great to have it on audible. Very exciting action. Please keep it going.

More on audible please

They could’ve included at least one conversation between Remo and his children ! They tried way too hard to make her tougher than him, which is dumb. The voice acting was not good. The way they did Sonny Joe was so unnatural.

Destroyer with almost nothing about the destroyer he should’ve been more than mentioned

What did you love best about Legacy?

The authors' over the top sense of politcal humor.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Senate hopeful Liz Warren because she's exemplifies how many people view politicians. Mainly she thinks she is smarter than everyone, is entitled, and will do anything to get elected.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This is a full blown production with sound effects, multiple voices, and mood music. It brought the book alive. It made it almost like an audible action comic book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, like most of the Destroyer series, it was relatively short. So, it kept you involved. It's almost as if it was meant for one sitting.

Any additional comments?

The Destroyer Series is a long time favorite of mine. I wish Audible had more of these books available. (I have seen some on tapes...yes cassette tapes, at truck stops, yet Audible only has 2 available. I believe GraphicAudio has done many more.

Please record/make available more

I can't wait for the next volume to this one. I definitely like the narration and characters. I especially like the new generation. Talk about cliffhanger.

More!

Would you listen to Legacy again? Why?

Probably

What did you like best about this story?

I have been a fan of the series for decades.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No first time. It was done quite well I thought.

Any additional comments?

I so do implore you to release more Destroyer Series books on audible! Please!!!

Remo and Chiun have arrived at Audible at last!

Ok, the story followed the same premise as Destroyer series. Had familier characters. But was too early in the series to present a super villion

Story we good. Performance was not good.

While this was not as long as the original Destroyer series books it absolutely captured and embraced the Warren Murphy magic. There have only been one other author, in my humble opinion, who has been able to begin to truly carry on the style and story of Murphy/Sapir (you know who you are JM) and Mr. Welch has done it with continuance of the Sinanju saga. The story was fun and had some of those intense moments we are all used to and the banter between the half siblings shadow those of Remo and Chiun quite nicely. Who would have thought, millenial mNasters of Sinanju OMG!! The book was well written (I read it first) and then the audio book was an absolute delight!!! While some may have found some of the sounds and production parts to be somewhat theater-like, and they were, I was over the moon with the quality and performances and I would buy every single Legacy book if it comes to audible. Finally, if you are a Destroyer series fan and even if you've already read Legacy Book 1, treat yourself to this audiobook, it is just that A TREAT.

Outstanding!! Destroyer fans rejoice!!
