Story
Life was barely manageable after my mom was murdered three years ago. I wasn’t sure what my purpose was anymore. But then on my 21st birthday, I drank a little too much and fell from the roof of my nine-story apartment building. I died. Then...I un-died. Enter Hayden, my really bossy (and hot) guardian angel whose duty is to train me to be the next “Soldier of Light.” I’m pretty sure I’m the wrong person for this job, despite what Hayden thinks. Guess I’m stuck saving the dead.

This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Not just for race car enthusiasts!!!
I had heard about this book from a family member, but never had time to read it. Once it came out on audio book I was able to listen to it thoroughly. From the 2nd chapter onward I had trouble turning it off. I loved the depth of knowledge the author has of racing, while making it simplistic enough for a common person to understand.
The story pulls at heart strings as well as one of those stories that gets your adventure spirit burning.
I highly recommend this for anyone looking for something different, someone looking for a heart pumping adventure, and anyone who has dealt with loss and struggles.
The audible production was once of the best. He really had the right voice for the book and helped engage my imagination while listening.
This book did not disappoint and is well worth the funds/credit! Great listen!

Good story.
Great descriptions of the racing and the drama. Bathurst has always been a place I wanted to go.

Written 110% for race car drivers, the words described the sensation from how a driver would see and feel things
Also really enjoyed the narrator and his passion, I really got to know all the main characters.

Mehh
Decent enough I finished it. A bit sappy, but it did entertain on an oppressively long drive.

Perfectly captures the spirit of Motorsport!
Man am I happy this book got recommended to me. You don’t need to love Motorsport to enjoy this book, but I’d be surprised if you didn’t love it after reading Legacy Drive.

Enjoyable
As an amateur racer, I enjoyed this book. Some of the non-racing storyline was a bit hokie, but overall a good book.

Heartwarming and EXCITING
As a 58-year-old, super motorsports fan, this book was amazing. It was so touching that I was in tears, and so exciting that I was on the edge of my seat and could not wait to read the next chapter. To me it was excellently, written, and amazingly performed.I highly recommend it if you are any type of a motorsport fan

More Than Just A Racing Story
Great story of generations, grit, determination, family and faithfulness. The motorsports backdrop is authentic speaks to the enthusiasts, but there is so much more here. Great writing… Hope there’s more to come!

On the edge of my seat
As an amateur racer the racing sequences were authentic and factual correct. The story was fantastic and had me on the edge of my seat. Absolutely loved it
