Publisher's summary

The Arizona Vengeance is hockey’s hottest new team. But hockey’s hottest goalie is learning that even the best players sometimes need an assist.

“You don’t have to like sports to love these books!” (New York Times best-selling author Jill Shalvis)

Everything is clicking for the Vengeance. We may be new, but we’re well on our way to winning the championship, and I’m having the time of my life headlining the sports media as the hottest goalie - hell, player - ever. I, for one, am going to live up to my name...because I am Legend Bay.

Dragging my ass home from the gym, I’m blinded by some gaudy, glowing holiday lights. As usual, my hot-as-hell neighbor Pepper Nantais has gone way over the top. But just as I’m about to tell her off, something else catches my eye.... Seems like Santa left me a present and not one I was expecting.

As life takes an unexpected turn, I realize that there’s much more to Pepper than meets the eye. Sure, she’s gorgeous. And exasperating. And her taste in decorating may be a bit...unique.

But beneath her carefree demeanor is a fierce determination and a heart of gold. And before I know it I’ve fallen for her. Hard....

Pepper is exactly the woman I never knew I needed.

Advance praise for Legend

May I have my Soul back?

Pepper Nantais, smart, humorous, beautiful….a thorn in her neighbor’s side. Never one to disappoint, she annoys him with her outrageous and annoying lawn decorations. The very definition of flamboyant! Amongst all of the chaos is an underlying attraction that will soon come to light.

Legend Bay, Star goalie for the Arizona Vengeance and has a dislike for his neighbor who grates on his nerves. He comes home one night to find an unexpected “package” on his porch. The only thing he can think to do is run next door and get Pepper. She is ready to have their latest tete a tete, but, stops in her tracks when she sees the look on his face. Stunned and shaken, he has no idea that getting Pepper involved is both good and bad.

The Good- I...Am...Speechless! Several books have brought out different emotions in me, but, Sawyer grabbed my soul and snatched that thing right out. This is going in my bank of Favorites!

The Bad- The way Charlie was left on the porch is inexcusable.

The Ugly- The Baby Mama Drama, was ugly. She was so far gone off the ledge and delusional. What she did was horrific.

I don’t know where to begin with this, but, I was just in awe of this latest release by Sawyer Bennett. Legend and Pepper are a magnetic force so in sync and unbreakable. You could feel Pepper’s spirit of calm. She was level headed and it helped balance Legend’s crazy emotions. She is comforting, nourishing, and bold. She was a welcomed change to the typical damsel in most stories. I know this book is about a Legend, but, Pepper is my Hero in this read. Legend was thrust into a roll that he was not ready for. His need to know everything and be there for Charlie was so touching and admirable. Legend and Pepper are pure passion with souls that sought after each other. Mesmerizing and tantalizing in their heat driven love making, that left nothing to the imagination. This story is unforgiving when it grabs you from the beginning. Holding onto you as if it needs you to read the next words or it will not rest. It left me awestruck, needy, tearful, emotional, and vulnerable. This proves beyond a reasonable doubt why Sawyer Bennett is my favorite Author. Just when I thought I couldn’t love her work even more, she writes Legend and elongates my already stretched to the hilt emotions….Easily an EBR Must Read! 5 Stars

Sexy Single Daddy

This was by far my most favorite book in the series so far. Legend is all kinds of swoony with just how quickly he adapted to being a single dad. No one can resist a man with his sweet baby girl. And let’s not forget Pepper. That woman needs an award for everything that she has done even after everything Legend has done in the past. But these two were absolutely meant to be together.

My senses were heightened as I listened to this audio book and Sawyer gave us one hell of a surprise. I love when she weaves a little mystery and danger into her story. I’m a suspense romance addict. The way Joe Arden and Andi Arndt made you feel those emotions as you listened was brilliant. I felt the fear and emotion jump right through my headphones.

Sawyer knows how to write a story to captivate you and keep you on the edge. I loved this one from beginning to end. I am looking forward to more in the series and can’t wait till we get Tacker’s story. But first we get Dax.

Hot Hockey Player + Pink Flamings= Chemistry Gold

The latest edition in the Arizona Vengeance series I a fun and emotional read. In the last book we met Pepper, the next door neighbor of Legend who is decorating his yard with those obnoxious Pink Flamingos. I really could not think of a better way to get back and a grumpy, complaining neighbor. I instantly liked Pepper and her yard ornament antics.

Legend is the goalie for the Vengeance, and has the usual Goalie quirks, a neat and orderly nature being one of them. You can see where the yard ornament antics of Pepper might get on his nerves.
The story takes a radical turn when Legend comes home late one night to find something left on his door step, he runs to Pepper next door for help. I am not going to get into spoilers. But its this situation that brings Legend and Pepper together, and a friendship develops and deepens. The story line takes you on a roller-coaster ride, and it shows great character development and plot.

The narrators are Joe Arden and Andi Arndt , which are two of my all time favorite narrators. Seriously I would buy a book just to hear them narrate it, because you know they'll do an outstanding job.
I eagerly await the next book in the Arizona Vengeance Series.

I really liked this one. Secret/abandon baby, newly single dad trope. I'm glad we're also seeing progression of the other cast members as their full stories are next on the list to be told. Even though the story was predictable, sometimes its good to come back to a storyline that I enjoy. Gah, I look forward to Dax's story next.

Joe and Andi did a great job narrating.

My favourite so far

The narrators did a fantastic job bringing this story to life.
I love the men of Cold Fury but boy do the men of the Arizona Vengeance give them a run for their money. Legend I think may be my favourite to date and that is saying something since I absolutely loved both the previous two books in this series.
Firstly let me put this out there, Legend Bay is MINE, no arguments, no sharing. All MINE. However I do think that feisty and quirky Pepper Nantais is the perfect heroine for him.
Returning home Legend is shocked to find a present has been left for him. From the first chapter Sawyer Bennett packed such a punch that I was reeling and totally hooked.
I loved Legend to me he was a guy determined to make life better and he most assuredly had me swooning. I admire the strength and determination both Legend and Pepper bring to the story.
There were so many OMG moments in Legend that I am being careful so that I do not spoil anything. With that being said, this is a book that you need to one click. Yo won’t be disappointed.
There is plenty of action on and off the ice and I cannot wait to see where Sawyer Bennett takes this team and I am excited for the next release in the series.

😍😍😍LOVED LEGEND!😍😍😍

What a beautiful story! It rarely happens when I love both main characters which is the case here.

There wasn’t anything in this story I didn’t like- loved everything about this book.

Legend is absolutely wonderful, and Pepper’s quirky selfless personality compliments him to perfection. They make a lovely couple.

Joe Arden and Andi Arndt are simply amazing! This story is worth the credit/money and your time.

Highly recommended audiobook!

Legend Effin' Bay! Love him!!

This is a series I'm thoroughly enjoying. I wish I could devour it, but with time constraints, it's dragging out a bit. Which is fine by me.

Legend Bay is an amazing player on the Arizona Vengeance hockey team. They're having a great year so far, and hopefully a Stanley Cup is in their future. When an unexpected event turns his life almost upside down, help from Pepper, his "neighbor from hell," is both surprising and needed. There's been an attraction between Legend and Pepper, but Legend believed his teammate Dax was dating her. Regardless of his attraction, that made her off limits. But when Dax reveals his true intentions, Legend and Pepper eventually get closer, a result of spending more and more time together.

This story was full of feels, and I won't say Legend is my favorite, but without giving spoilers, it's a classic reason for swooning on a guy. It's about family, and not just your blood. Everyone knows the Arizona Vengeance is a family, as well as a team. These guys love each other, and would do anything for their brothers or those they love. Of course, there's lots of heat in this story. Duh! They're hot rich professional hockey players!

Of course, Joe Arden makes this story, and I think he may be my favorite voice for hockey players. Andi Arndt is her usual amazing self, and they make a wonderful team telling Legend and Pepper's story.

Now, onto Dax!

Great Listen

Sawyer Bennett certainly know how to write a Hockey Series and just when you think you have read the best out pops another Hockey hottie you can dream about in this case it’s Legend Bay’s story.
We may have met Legend and Pepper briefly in the previous books but that doesn’t mean this book can’t be read as a stand-alone because this is the book that we really get to know the neighbours who love to hate each other......
As goalie for the Arizona Vengeance Legend knows what is expected of him and he knows what to expect of his teammates, he likes order in his life what he doesn’t like is the over the top neighbor who insists on putting pink flamingos in his front yard. Pepper is the complete opposite of Legend she is loud, colourful and she loves to tease her hot neighbor. These two may drive each other nuts but when it comes down to the nitty gritty it’s Pepper that Legend turns to when he finds a unusual package on his front doorstep.......
This book has all the feels you want in a great read, it has love, drama, some hearbreaking moments as well as some seriously hot scenes. When this author started her second hockey series I wondered where she would take us, could she better a series I already loved and swooned over, well I should never have doubted her because Legend has topped them all and it will certainly be in my top reads of 2019. I loved the characters and their witty banter, I loved the support and the friendships formed in this series and I’m telling you to one click this great read and great listen. Narrators did a great job

Another great player from the team!

As a major fan of The Cold Fury series, I was upset when we moved on to the new Arizona Vengeance series but as I am slowly getting to know this new team, the Cold Fury has a run for their money.  Legend and Piper are such and unexpected couple but when a surprise is left for Legend we see what a truely awesome guy he is.  I love how the narrators really get into their characters  and brought them to life.  I am glad that we are in a series as I want to get to know the other guys on the team and would love to have a book that involves both teams.  Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Opposites attract

Legend Bays neighbor has done her best to aggravate him ever since he moved in. From her quirky style to her planting pink flamingos in the edge of his yard he is completely infuriated with her, but when he arrives home and finds something on his porch that shouldn't be there she is the person he turns to.

Pepper really doesn't hate her hot neighbor, quiet the contrary she finds him very attractive but just a little too uptight for his own good. She is completely surprised though when he comes to her for help but she is all in and after a little bit of time together things go in a different direction than either of them could have imagined.

Joe Arden and Andi Arndt were fantastic as Legend and Pepper. Great story and great narration. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I recommend this book.
