Naomi is part of Jolene’s lair and has secrets that she does not want to reveal. Luka is prime of his own lair and has secrets of his own and lives dangerously. Both have trust issues and go into this not wanting a real relationship, they do agree to exclusivity tho. The spice and banter were well written per usual. Naomi is a baddie and Luka is possessive and obssessed and I love it. Naomi’s secrets are pretty great, I enjoyed learning more about her and she is a really entertaining FMC, powerful and confident and independent. Her demon is alright too pretty low key until the end, my fave remains Larkins Harpy tho (book 9 same series). Luka and his demons were well written. I enjoyed their different personalities and how they were portrayed, the whole legion thing was interesting. I wouldn’t have minded seeing more of his demons especially in battle or more forced surfacing, but that’s a minor thought. His crime boss lifestyle and discussions on how he grew up was well written too. One thing I like a lot abt Suzanne’s characters is that she doesn’t really make them all that ethical but they are still likeable and you want them to thrive even if their actions are occasionally insane lol. We had some good OW and OM drama and as always Suzanne’s books are safe with no temptation from the MCs (no cheating/betrayal). I enjoyed the different perspectives as i do with all of her books. Both MCs had different issues they were dealing with, Naomi was mostly being attacked by a cult with a prophecy and had a couple stalkers and Luka was mostly dealing with an unruley member of his lair (one of her stalkers) along with his typical crime boss busy lifestyle. He also developed a driving need to protect Naomi without knowing her secrets and not being used to caring abt a “fling”. I will say Naomi’s dad had some fantastic lines in this. He cracked me up every time he appeared. I enjoyed his character a lot. The MCs had great chemistry and the author took the time to convey them getting to know each other throughout the book and building a relationship without either of them really realizing what they were doing. AND the spice was still present throughout the book, they hook up pretty quickly which is another consistent from this author that I love. The Narrator was fantastic as always, I really like Cats performances. I can’t wait for whatever the author comes up with next in any of her PNR series. I love reading her stories, the perfect mix of spice and action/adventure with some drama sprinkled in. Chefs kiss! This can be read as a standalone, there are character appearances from past books tho so some things won’t connect as well.

I love Suzanne Wrights books & Legion was no exception.

I liked it. The set-up/premise was good, loved the new FMC (and her surprise connection) as well as seeing old friends, but I would have liked a little more focus on the MCs’ relationship. Overall it was a satisfying conclusion to the series.

Satisfying conclusion to the series

The story was a nice addition to this world. My main issue is that this is the final installment of the series and it doesn’t feel like it. It feels like just another piece of the puzzle there is no full wrap up of this world. Heck Harper and the main female characters are barely in the story and a lot of characters never even make an appearance, including Knox or Asher. I really wish Wright had done a better job making this feel like a complete story. Maybe an epilogue wrapping everything up would have helped but this didn’t feel like enough.

Lackluster Ending

I love this series, but the ending has a lot to be desired. How can you not end the series with the original character? What about Knox and Asher and all his sentinels - why no epilogue? Yes, I love the new characters, but I'm not at all happy with the ending. The narrator did her usual excellent job. Sad to see the series end sooooooo open-ended, no real closure with all the characters. Yes, the fight scene was awesome, and Naomi and Luka are an awesome couple, but why not show how awesome Luka's powers were? Just not the ending I expected. Waiting a year for this ending was disappointing. I will listen to this series again because I love where this all started with Knox and Harper and the sentinels and later the baby, or babies. I think this should have ended where it started, with all the characters coming together for more closure for all characters.

And on a side note, what was the purpose of the final scene in "Monsters We Are"? In the park with Devon, Khloe, and the baby, being scared of Cain and Wyter, I loved that short series as well.

Not at all happy with ennding :-(
