Publisher's summary

Many great father-daughter books highlight the benefits of being an engaged father, cite statistics about the impact fathers have on a daughter's life, and give practical advice about how to foster such relationships. But once the stage has been set, many dads don't know what to say or how to approach conversations with their daughters.

Using her decades of experience in counseling young women and coaching fathers, Michelle Watson has created a step-by-step template for having conversations that build a stronger bond through laughter, vulnerability, honesty, and self-disclosure. Let's Talk is filled with dozens of scripted questions that walk fathers through the levels of creating a heart-to-heart connection with their daughters by communicating the right way. Through this accessible guide, dads will learn how to listen and build trust as they move from get-to-know-you chats to deep discussions that dive into their daughters' struggles, hurts, and hopes.

Survival Guide for Dads

It’s true. Most books give you a lot to read. This book not only delivers on that but it also gives you a lot to do. It is the survivors guide for dads with daughters.

I want to take a moment of your time to tell you about this amazing book.

Do you want to live with purpose and be intentional in your relationship with your daughter? Or do you know someone who is going to be a dad or struggles in his relationship currently with his daughter? This book delivers and helps you understand what is going on in your daughter's world. It helps you pay attention to the details.

Dr. Michelle’s scripts are raw, real, and vulnerable. She takes the pressure away from dad’s of feeling like they have to come up with their own script for a conversation with their daughter. Every dad would benefit from her work.

I agree with Dr. Michelle. God’s kingdom could greatly advance in America if dad’s lived into their dad role, manned up, and loved their daughters intentionally. This book gives you the practical tools to accomplish such a task.

This book is truly a love letter to dad’s inviting them to take appropriate risks in how he relates to his daughter allowing him to embark on a lifelong journey with his daughter. The questions Dr. Michelle has created are daring and thus producing authentic conversations between dads and daughters.

Perhaps you are an amazing dad and just need more conversation starters. This book is for you. Or, maybe you have “bummed out bridges” with your daughter, that is, you are a dad who is on the verge of losing a relationship with your daughter because you keep doing the same thing over and over again, then this book is for you. Dr. Michelle will give you something to think about and do no matter where you are at on the spectrum. Dr. Michelle has a strong desire to move fathers to action.

Finally, Dr. Michelle’s care and attention to detail will give a father purpose in his relationship with his daughter.

Dads, this Book Actually Works!

I listened to the audiobook and then decided to get the printed book so I could read off the questions. I was skeptical that this would work but it worked like magic! I always said the wrong thing or asked the wrong questions, but with this book, I always asked the right questions. Your daughter will love you for this..

A Dads must read!

I've been doing date nights with my daughter for a while, but this book reinforced how important they are to developing a strong relationship with my daughter. I recommend this to anyone who wants their daughter to grow up strong and with healthy selfesteem and a leader.

no pdf

I just started listening to this book a few days ago. I like the book. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because there should be a PDF of the questions, etc. There isn't so I have to make my own list of the questions or I have to buy the paper book also.
