About this listen
The sun is shining in the quiet little seaside town of Sandybridge.
Sandybridge is the perfect English seaside town: home to gift shops, tearooms and a fabulous fish and chip shop. And it's home to Grace - although right now she's not too happy about it.
Grace grew up in Sandybridge, helping her parents sort junk from vintage treasures, but she always longed to escape to a bigger world. And she made it, travelling the world for her job, falling in love and starting a family. So why is she back in the tiny seaside town she'd long left behind, hanging out with Charlie, the boy who became her best friend when they were teenagers?
It turns out that travelling the world may not have been exactly what Grace needed to do. Perhaps everything she wanted has always been at home - after all, they do say that's where the heart is....

Ava loves city life, but when something happens to make her feel unsafe, she retreats to the calm and quiet of Bluebell Wood. The once high-flying Ava now locks herself away in her fairy-tale cottage, only leaving to explore the trails of the nearby woods or to potter in the garden with her dog, Merlin. A Cozy Read
I love the setting and the characters in this story. It’s perfect for a cozy read in front of a fire. The reader is wonderful and really brings the story to life.

Sweet bed time story
The story is very simple, but nice.
What made me miserable was the narrator. Very bad performance. Sometimes I wanted to buy the paper book to finish the story instead of listening to her.

One of the most surprising stories in a long time
Would you consider the audio edition of Letters from Lighthouse Cottage to be better than the print version?
Although I haven't read it in print, I think the audiobook is inspiring me to do so, just in case I missed some details in the mystery of Remy.
What other book might you compare Letters from Lighthouse Cottage to and why?
I honestly don't know...it's that unique.
What does Emma Powell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She has a pleasant voice, and didn't over-do any of the voices. I would buy more books narrated by her.
Any additional comments?
I highly recommend this story. I bought it for the predictable feel-good romance, and I ended up getting so much more. I had to stay up all night listening, mainly trying to figure out the mystery surrounding the letters. In the end, the mystery is only partly solved, and yet that is the most perfect ending. I also loved all the characters, and was surprised by the amount of depth and honest emotion in this story, especially in the mother-daughter relationship.
