This audiobook is a great guide for any teen that has their near future focused on living independently; it is also useful in helping parents how to point their children in the road to independence, even if that is not the plan after High School. The advice provided is presented in conversational tone and teen friendly. It cover topics on finance, independent living, digital safety and preparing for their first job. I liked that there is also a focus on knowing how to take care of their physical, and metal health. The information on using quadrants as a way to prioritize tasks was very useful.

My niece just started her first job, and this seemed like a good fit for her. Turns out it was better than expected. She actually started tracking her spending and even cooked dinner last week without a microwave involved. What I liked most was how the book speaks directly to teens without sounding like a lecture. It’s relatable, clear, and doesn’t assume they already know everything. Great resource for young people finding their footing.

I got this for my nephew, and honestly, I wish I had something like it when I was his age. He actually listened to it without rolling his eyes, which is saying a lot. The topics are super practical—money, cooking, time management—and explained in a way that makes sense. It's like someone finally figured out how to teach real-life stuff without making it boring. Definitely recommend for any teen learning to stand on their own two feet.

The book was very well done with a lot of important information that isn't always clarified in high school. I thought the money management section was very helpful. This would be a very good book to give a senior in high school, so they could get ahead of some of the pitfalls of navigating life.

Life Skills for Teens Made Easy is a great book that covers everything a teen should learn (that schools don’t teach) before they enter adulthood. The book is easy to read with real life examples and realistic tips covering cooking, time management, budgeting, and home repairs. I highly recommend this as a birthday or graduation gift.

I listened to this book with my nephews while driving up to a family reunion this weekend. The chapters on cooking and nutrition and financial foundations were great. I’ve always said they should teach this stuff in school (bring back Home Ec!!). A friend of mine once dated a guy who didn’t even know how to fry an egg! So, I’m big on making sure the next generation learns the basics. This audiobook makes it super easy and fun to follow, and we even tried out a few of the cooking tips together. Loved it!

I wish I had this book before. It makes grown-up stuff not so scary. The money part was easy to get, even for someone like me who don’t like math. It don’t sound boring. I like that the chapters is short, I listen to some while walking. The cooking tips was simple too, with normal food and steps. The part about fixing things at home was fun, I didn’t think I’d like it. The time and stress tips helped lots.

I got this audiobook for my younger sister, and we ended up listening to it together. It’s super relatable and easy to follow—way more engaging than the typical “adulting” guides out there. It covers everything from money and time management to cooking and handling stress, all in a way that actually makes sense to teens. She’s already started meal prepping and using the time-blocking tips for school. It’s practical, empowering, and honestly gave me a few reminders too. Perfect for any teen starting to think about independence—or for parents who want to give them a solid head start.

I gave this to my 15-year-old son after realizing he didn’t know how to do laundry or cook anything besides toast. We listened together in the car, and to my surprise, he actually paid attention and even started asking questions about budgeting and how interest works. It sparked some good conversations, and I think it helped him see that “adulting” isn’t as scary as it sounds. Would’ve loved something like this when I was a teen.

Wish I Had This in High School
