This is an amazing series and, although the books were written in period appropriate language (Spalding was born in mid 1800s), and the language of the Masters is even more arcane, you get used to it very quickly.
It helps to have a good narrator. And he is superb. Pleasant voice color, doesn't overly dramatize, nor is he bone dry, enunciates clearly. Great recording.

Major bummer is that he recorded only 2 books out of the 6. It leaves you wanting.
