About this listen

Chesapeake Shores has always represented home and family for the O'Briens, but in Lilac Lane, the community extends its healing powers to a woman recovering from overwhelming grief

Single mom Kiera Malone struggled for years to raise her three children in a small town on the coast of Ireland. Just when she's let down her guard and allowed herself to love again, her fiancé suffers a fatal heart attack and leaves her alone yet again. Overwhelmed by her loss, she's persuaded to visit her father, Dillon O'Malley, and her daughter, Moira O'Brien, in Chesapeake Shores. With the promise of family ties and a job at O'Brien's, her son-in-law's Irish pub, she takes what seems like the biggest risk of her life.

As it turns out, though, crossing the ocean is nothing compared to moving into a charming cottage on Lilac Lane, right next door to Bryan Laramie, the moody chef at O'Brien's, who doesn't do anything the way Kiera believes it should be done. Their kitchen wars quickly become the stuff of legends in Chesapeake Shores, and the town's matchmakers conclude where there's heat, there's sure to be passion.

As these two deal with their wounded pasts and discover common interests, they might just find the perfect recipe for love.

It’s awful when you get used to the voices and they are changed late into the series.

Great story - why change narrator?

The book was great, but why did you bring in a new narrator? Everyone already has a voice, and this narrator wasn’t it?

Good, but

I preferred Erin Bennett reading while this reader was okay. It just wasn’t the sane as the last 13 books.

Change in performance

This was a really fast book and I was to the end before I was ready for it. I'm not certain if there is a series with these families as the characters, but there should be....these families are really fun and interesting. I really enjoyed this book.

A Hallmark with Spice

I love the storyline, I love the way the characters got together and I love that the relationships were developed. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great love story

Simply awesome!

Only Sherryl can pull off so many great novels using this family. I can only hope for more.

She does it again!

This is Sherryl at her best, interlocking all these characters jus amazes me. Keep going please!

Spectacular story

Erin Bennet is the queen of narrating this series and beach reads in general. SO disappointed they switched to a different person for the last book. I had to speed up the audio to get through it.

Dissatisfied with Narrator

Every book in series great but this one dragged so much. So much time taken talking about a competition for the best Irish stew.

Fantastic series

Loved the new characters in the continuing story of the O’Briens! Very good listen and enjoyed the performance.

Another home run!
