About this listen

Thea Jenson has her future meticulously planned out. Graduate from college. Get a job. Marry her high school sweetheart and have two beautiful children. When she decides to transfer schools, her brother suggests she move in with him and his unruly hockey roommates. Everything in her life is going according to her plan . . .

. . . until she bumps into Kyler in their kitchen and sparks fly.

Kyler Rose, the starting center for the Northport University hockey team, is done for the moment he lays his eyes on Thea. But he can't allow her to become a distraction. He's determined to make it to the NHL. That's if he doesn't get booted for failing grades first. And even though he's on scholarship, it doesn't pay his bills or provide for his family. Neither do the tips he earns from his bartending gig. When an offer to make some fast cash falls in his lap, he takes it, thinking no one will care if he gets hurt . . .

. . . except Thea does care.

But just as Kyler finds a way to navigate his feelings for Thea, an unexpected link to his family comes to light and he finds himself in the fight of his life to protect those he loves the most—his family.

Very enjoyable listen, Lots of drama.

I absolutely adored this forbidden romance. Thea has changed her major, joining her brother at Northport University. She will be sharing a house with her brother and a bunch of hockey players. Her brother has put his roommates on notice. Thea is off limits. Thea having a boyfriend, Adam, only makes her more unobtainable. Gotta wonder how she is going to survive with all those stinky hockey players.

The author gave me a college hockey team to cheer for making my day even brighter. The dynamics between the players sharing the house is a joy to read about. Thea fits in perfectly and gets along with most of them. Kyler is a different story. Did I mention forbidden romance? How about living in denial? Kyler and his issues makes for a great story. Watching him fight his emotions was great fun. When I didn't think things could get worse, the authors proved me wrong.

I must thank her for giving me Adam to hate. I can't remember the last time I detested a character as much as Adam. He made for great conflicts and some super creepy moments, which I must admit were very entertaining. I don't think that man could redeem himself if he tried.

Thankfully the story has a wonderful happily ever after and it doesn't include Adam. Washing my eyes in bleach has been avoided. Heart palpitations and awes can fill my night. Line Change is one those books that left me smiling, feeling good and counting down to the next book.

01/27/25 I am ecstatic. The audiobook has been released. Listening to the book was a great distraction while working. The narrators made it easy to follow, easy to understand, and easy to become addicted to the audiobook.
