About this listen

The heart-stopping finale of New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Molly McAdams’s Rebel series.

I’ve always known where I ranked in every aspect of my life.

Parents? Not the favorite twin.

Military? Dangerous scapegoat.

Women? Practically a god—they’re welcome.

Mafia? Irreplaceable member of the family.

When Willow Bennett moves into our little town, I find that confidence rocked for the first time by how guarded she is. But that secretive smile and those dancing eyes keep drawing me back to her as if falling in love isn’t a danger I never wanted to put on anyone.

And now that danger is knocking on our door. Demanding atonement for a choice my family made years ago. Attempting to ruin the peace we’ve been living in. Threatening to destroy everything.

But in our world, rebellions aren’t a phase; they’re an oath. A way of life. And I’m the unassuming Rebel you need to watch out for. Nearly every word out of my mouth might drip with sarcasm, but that doesn’t diminish my aim. More than that, you can’t escape me because I’m a bloodhound.

The name’s Diggs. There’s nothing and no one I can’t track down. If I’m looking for you, you might as well start praying because I’m about to be the last thing you see.

Spoiler Alert!

Story: Great as always.
Female Narrator: Awesome
Male Narrator: Not good. Not the same Diggs. Made all the women sound like winey babies.

SPOILER: NO REASON TO KILL JESS OFF. NOT HAPPY.

Blah

I was really upset with how it ended like on a cliffhangers, especially with the need character n kieran. I regret purchasing it and not reading the reviews first. The narrator for Diggs was soo boring and didnt fit the character.

BEYOND Disappointing!!

For those who have listened to the Rebel series on Audible I am going to tell you right now that you do not… repeat… NOT want to ruin your experience by listening to this book. I don't know whose decision it was to change narrators in the final book of a series (even after Molly McAdams announced the narrators were going to be the same) but they need to consider a different career. When one narrator has voiced every single character in a series and you substitute them with someone whose style is not even close it's like taking the last season of Game of Thrones and swapping out Kit Harrington for Daniel Radcliffe to play John Snow. The narrator that was used for this final installment ruined every single character for me in a story that was supposed to have the most beloved character of the entire series. Diggs has been voiced by one person for four audiobooks. He has become the most endearing character of the series through the voice of one person. So you change that person? You would've been better off not doing an audiobook AT ALL for this story.
As for the story itself the continued disappointment was just insult to injury. Avoiding spoilers, I can say for me that not only is the series left without any kind of conclusion but it also ruins the story(s) from the other books.
Could the story have been salvaged by using the same narrator that was already announced by the author? Quite possibly. I wanted to hear Diggs one last time and now that will never happen. I thought maybe the story could have been strong enough and it turned out to be the most disappointing of all. I would have never sat down and read this story so it was Audible or nothing. I wish I would have chosen nothing.
