Publisher's summary

With her beloved mother gone, her twin sister about to be married, and no hint of Mr. Right on the horizon, Josie Dupré is lonesome. Luckily, she has her booming New Orleans catering business to keep her busy and her fluffy white dog, Rosie, to keep her company...until an obnoxious Boxer brazenly captures Rosie's undying devotion. Even worse, the budding romance puts Josie in close proximity to the dog's owner - sexy love 'em and leave 'em Cajun playboy Paul Brouillette.

Good read

Enjoyed reading this book. Listen to Your Heart has a great story to tell. It's about what some families deal with in today's world. The disconnect of family relationship and personal relationships Fern Michaels is a great story teller. A lesson of forgiveness.

Fun happy story!

I don’t care what the narrator’s voice sounded like because I remember listening to her years ago on road trips via cassettes from the library! Yes, her voice is deep and raspy but she is a marvelous actress telling the stories. She can certainly emote and carry other characters parts believably not so of newer, younger speakers who sound flat and often whiny. My review is in defense of Ms Rosenblatt, the story was good too!

Wish there was a sequel to this book

Wish there was a sequel to this book . Wanted to hear more in epilogue rather than Cajun recipes

Awesome

Authentically New Orleans, being from the city the descriptions of the city the foods made me feel so at home. The story line regarding the grief of the loss of a child and the effects on the family are right on.
Fern Michael’s thank you for this book, it feed my soul!!!!

The reader has a very rough voice.

She sounds as if she smoked a pack a day and cigarettes for the last 35 years. It was horrible to listen to. The roughness and scratchiness of her voice is completely unappealing. There were times a he was slurring words and the character was not drunk. The storyline was fine. The narrator was horrid.

Couldn’t get past the first 20 minutes! I hate the narrator!

Could be a great book but I can’t stand the narrator! She is one of the worst! Please don’t use her ever again!
