Publisher's summary

A coming-of-age story for anyone who's ever been young and in love....

A fire-red BMW, a mansion on the water, a closet the size of a small department store.... At 18 years old, Charity Bauer has gotten anything she has ever wanted in life. At least she thought she had everything she wanted....

The night Charity meets Brock Ryan, she sees not only a chance to spend a night with a hot divorcé, but also an opportunity to make her ex jealous. Some things aren't for sale, though, especially not Brock Ryan. When one night of innocent flirting causes a chain reaction that will forever change her life, Charity will have to make difficult decisions that will affect her future and the ones she loves - maybe even cost her the love of a lifetime.

Although tastefully written, this coming-of-age story includes adult situations appropriate for listeners 16 and older.

Great series

What's not to like about this book? This book switches to following Charity and Brock starting at the Thanksgiving dinner. There's lots of character development and relationship building going on. I love that both characters end up more confident and sure of themselves by the end.

There's quite a few twists in the book, some left me wondering if things would work out. The writing is well done and it felt like I was along on the emotional journey Charity was going through.

The narration was fantastic, the delivery was emotive and helped me get wrapped up in the book, and the character voices were excellent.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.
