Publisher's summary

Sierra Blake has returned home to Mill Hollows, Virginia.

She's lost her job as a hotel marketing executive.

She knew getting romantically involved with the son of the franchise owner was a bad idea. Turning down his marriage proposal left Sierra updating her resume and needing a change of scenery. Returning to the small football-loving town located in view of the Blue Ridge Parkway is definitely a change of scenery from the sultry heat and water sport enthusiast city of Tampa.

Wes Carter is new to Mill Hollows and stirring up more than sediment and rocks for geology sampling upon meeting the beautiful Sierra Blake at the Salted Caramel Cafe. Fall in Virginia isn't the only chill in the air.

The last time Sierra saw her younger sibling, Roxie, the two didn't exactly leave each other on the best of terms. A budding romance with a side of family healing is on the menu at The Salted Caramel Cafe.

This book has had minimal updates since its release in audio including a name change to SALTED CARAMEL LOVE.

Love It - Clean Romance

I love this book and loved the performance. I wished it was longer. Romance mixed with complicated family relationships.

Love at the Salted Caramel Cafe

After a break up disaster Sierra heads home to regroup and decide her next move. And sometimes home is all you need to get re centered and to help remember whats important. I loved that this book had great morals and was a clean and easy listen, which makes it so refreshing. Nice Job on the narration.

Love at the Salted Caramel Cafe

Life sure can throw you through a few hoops and this happens when Sierra returns home to start over. I enjoyed watching these two meet ad grow into a friendship and then so much more. A quick, clean listen with nice narration.

My Partner Loved This

I am not a huge fan of the romance category but my girlfriend is. She loved "Love at the Salted Caramel Café" when she listened to it. In fact, she enjoyed it so much that she didn't so much as fidget for the time she was focused on it -she thinks that's her personal record for sitting still. She says she found the story to be compelling and interesting and that the narrator really brought it to life. She liked the way things ended and felt that is was, on balance, an uplifting and happy tale. She would definitely read Angie Ellington's work in the future. Please note: We got a review copy of this material but that doesn't change the way we feel about it. The opinion here is our own (or at least, my girlfriend's own).

Fun in the Fall

This might be a short story but it is packed full of goodness. We really get to know these characters. I love it! It’s sweet and a bit of fun. Oh plus Go Hokies! Who can’t love a story set around Virginia Tech?

I did listen to this on audio. Marie Chandler narrated. She did a wonderful job and her voice as Eden....spectacular!

Story was okay, Narration wasn’t my shtick

The story moved ridiculously fast, and touched on storylines from multiple family members, but focused more on Wes and Sierra. Even though it was slightly more about Wes and Sierra it didn’t focus on them enough to make it clear who the actual target of the story was until 20 min before the end.

There are technical issues with the sound (louder and softer), and poorly done retakes in a few places. The narrator just didn’t do it for me, I didn’t feel like it had me engaged at all.

A good sweet romance!

I listened to the audio version of this book. This was a good, short, easy-to-read story. The characters were likable and easy to relate to. I loved the bi-play between Sierra and her sister. Sisters sometimes make it hard to love them... Sierra came back to town with a secret. She broke up with her boyfriend, but hasn't told anyone. Wes is a great guy and the attraction between the two is instantaneous. He is only in town temporarily, but he may change his mind. Until he finds out Sierra's secret. Betrayal is something he might not be able to get around. Can Sierra get him to forgive her?
The narration honestly wasn't one of my favorite. That may be just me. Everybody else seemed to love it.
I was given this audio book for free. All thoughts are my own.

a few issues

I struggled with this narator. I had to slow the audio speed down some from what I normally listen to to understand her with her accent. also there were some production quality issues. background noise, a couple of parts that were obviously dubbed over. it just wasn't great. the story itself was okay, I think I would have enjoyed it more had I read it instead of listening to it

great short story

I really enjoyed this story. Great family relationships, reconciliation, all recovering from their own personal lives.
