A woman in a man's world....

CPA Rebecca Walker wields a hammer and saw with skill, but it's like fighting tooth and nail to prove to her chauvinistic father that she's capable of managing the family construction business. Romance is a luxury Rebecca can't afford.

Believe....

But Rebecca has a secret too, one she fears Sean will never accept. It will take intervention from an unlikely source to convince these two lovers they have the one thing neither of them ever expected to find...a love to believe.

Sweet Love Story

Rebecca is working in her family's construction business and doing it well but her father believes women don't belong in construction...unless they want to make coffee or keep the books. With all of her responsibilities, she doesn't have time for a relationship so when joking with her friend Sean, she suggest a friend with benefits arrangement.

The story moved very smoothly and sincere for me. There was one very uncomfortable time for me but the author had a plan so I can ignore that and trust it had to happen. I enjoyed the banter back and forth and loved the family and friends connection. There was romance without it being explicit.

Pam Dougherty did a great job narrating the different characters and I got the feeling that she was having a good time doing so. I was provided this book in exchange for my honest review and now I am going to go check out the rest of the books in the series!

Lots of feels; I cried big fat tears in places.

It's been nearly 2 years since I read Love to Believe. I'm not the kind of reader who re-reads books (too many good books on my TBR list) but I've found that I really enjoy listening to ones that I've already read and enjoyed. The great thing about that is if I get a bit distracted by something else it usually doesn't matter because I've already read the book.

Let me tell you, once I started listening to Pam Dougherty's performance of Love to Believe I was glued to my headphones. If real life distracted me for a bit I rewound back to the part I missed. I almost never do this with audio books, let alone with one that I'd already read.

The story is compelling - I love Lisa Ricard Claro's writing - but I loved the audio version as much as I loved reading the story. I've listened to other books by female performers and haven't really liked them. I was beginning to think that I had something against a woman performing an audio book. Pam Dougherty's performance nixed that theory – I just hadn't been listening to the right voice. I also loved her performance of Love Built to Last but I hadn't listened to that many audio books when I listened to it a few months ago and I didn't have a lot to compare it too. I've recently become an audio book junkie and Pam is now one of my favorite voice actors.

Below is my review of the ebook that I wrote when it was first released.

Once again, Lisa Ricard Claro has crafted a story that I couldn’t put down once I started it; I did absolutely nothing but read this book from beginning to end on the same day I started it. I laughed and I cried while reading this and that’s the best kind of book to me.

Rebecca is a strong woman and she has a busy life running, albeit temporarily, her father’s construction business. She has no desire to have a serious relationship and when the man she’s seeing tries to move things to the next level she breaks it off. Enter Sean, someone she met through her brother.

Sean has demons from his past plaguing him and he also wants no part of a serious relationship; he only dates women he knows he could never fall in love with – until Rebecca. Against his better judgment he agrees to have a “friends with benefits” (FWB) relationship and things are wonderful… for a while.

With their two families about to be joined by marriage – Rebecca’s brother, Caleb, is marrying Maddie, the wife of Sean’s dead brother, Jack – they keep their relationship a secret believing that it will be less awkward for everyone when it ends.

Sean and Rebecca both break their FWB agreement; they fall in love but neither will admit it to the other. After they break up Rebecca calls Sean for help when she gets into trouble even though she never wanted to see him again.

This is such a great love story. Lisa has used a tried and true romance trope but in such a way that I didn’t really see it coming. I wish my review could do the writing justice. Unfortunately, I just don’t know how to write the words to describe how good I think this book is.

If you are looking for a great love story, with lots of heat but no explicit sexy time, then I recommend you get a copy of this book. Unlike a lot of popular books these days this story has very few curse words but Sean does have a bit of a potty mouth and feeds a swear jar from time to time. :-)

Another winner!!

Another great "read" by Lisa Ricard Claro, and a pleasant narration by Pam Dougherty!

This was the second book in the Fireflies series, and though I loved following up with characters from the first one (Love Built to Last), this could definitely still be read as a stand-alone. Lisa just has a way of making you fall in love with all of the characters, ESPECIALLY the steamy main character!! This book had an added element of mystery, so it held my attention and kept me guessing. I can't wait to listen to the third one in the series, Love to Win!!!

A Delightful Tale

I absolutely loved listening to this story!! Once again Ms. Clara sucks us in with her wonderful storytelling and doesn't allow us to leave until the last word! I adored Sean and Rebecca! They are so fun to learn about and their bantering is so fun loving! I dare you to listen to this story and not fall in love with the Kincaids and Walkers!! They'll sweep you off your feet with their southern charm and warmth. The narrator, Pam Dougherty, once again brings the story to life and only adds to the enjoyment. She really knows how to infuse the proper emotions into her characters and leaves you wanting more! I think everyone should give this series a listen...you will not be sorry!!

Even better than the first

What a delight to escape into. Lisa does such a great job telling a story and transporting you to their lives. I loved the first story and was excited to follow it with the 2nd and this did not disappoint.

If you like small town stories with fantastic characters you are going to LOVE this one.

Love to Believe

I am so enjoying this series! Sean Kincaid and Rebecca Walker are made for each other even if they want to keep things simple with no strings attached...yeah right...Rebecca just wants to run the family business but her father only sees her as a "girl" even though her brother Caleb is pushing for her to run the business and she has been for months successfully. With Caleb and Maddie getting married and Sean and Rebecca are in the same place often and finally decide to act on all those feelings. Oh, until those feelings turn into more and produce consequences...will they figure it out before everything explodes? This one was so good!

Love this series 💞

I totally enjoyed book 1 in this series so when this book became available I I knew I had to check it out.

Although this is book 2 in the series it is definitely a stand alone book. Each book focuses on different family members so, even though the characters from the previous book are included, you don't lose any story or character development.

This book focuses on Rebecca and Sean. I don't want to give the story away but it's basically a story of two lonely hearts learn their relationship unexpectedly turns to love. It's a charming story that is more adult oriented because it does have some swearing and sexual encounters but they are not detailed. I recommend this series to those who enjoy well written stories with a bit of heat.

Loved the narration of Pam Dougherty. She has the kind of voice that lets you feel transported into the story. A pleasure to listen to! 💟
