The un layering of Carey’s issues, mental health, and overcoming adversity, was just delicious and a lovely madness. ❤️

Best of all the Jane Diamond Books.

I loved this book. One of my favorite in the Player series. A great story of love overcoming the fears of life.

This truly was a lovely madness to listen to.. but it was also heartbreaking to listen to too because the challenges, the reclusive damaged lifestyle and the anxiety-clad days, weeks and years that Cary went through after best friend Gabe‘s death was so debilitating on his life. Thank goodness pink haired Taylor came into his life with her strong commitment, understanding and love.. because she persevered where others had failed, was a shoulder, a staff, a crutch, a counsellor, a lover and a beacon which let the light back into his life. Cary was so many things.. Producer, Rockstar, handsome, hermit, broken, gifted, kind, thoughtful, suffering, sweet, sexy, funny, loyal and a man emotionally and mentally challenged through misplaced guilt and a loss that crippled his life.

This beautiful tragic tale is Jaine’s story to tell and she tells it with rich chapters of uncharted waters where the darkest of demons and the brightest of hope leads you on a phenomenal story filled to the brim with feels. And Ava and Lee were the perfect choice to bring the characters, the challenges, the heat and the dual POV angst-ridden rollercoaster story to life.

Worth a credit? There were so many emotions which filled and enriched the story.. the hero was hurting and damaged yet character growth and a strong woman repaired and healed his soul. The sizzles, chemistry, sexcapades and love developed into a beautiful devotional life-changing relationship. And the inclusion of the preloved Dirty and Players characters helped to make this one of Jaine’s best books (IMO). So yes, very creditworthy.

THIS COULD DEFINITELY BE HER BEST BOOK

I love this book! At first I wasn’t sure if I was excited to read about Cary. I really wanted a book about Matt. But now Cary is one of my favorite characters from all of Jaine’s books. The story is amazing and I highly recommend it! You will not be disappointed.

Soooo Goood!!!!

This book is well researched, well written with great character development and all the other warm fuzzies that well written amazing books have. I cannot tell you how many times I have reread this book! Carey and Jude (Dirty Book 5, another countless reread) are some of my favorite book boyfriends! Thank you Jaine Diamond for the Dirtyverse; one of my favorite places to visit…

My favorite of the series♥️

Wish I could give this 10 stars, wow. Based on previous books, I was prepared for Carey to be cringe worthy. Thought Taylor would be dragging him out of his shell kicking & screaming. Carey did struggle, but he also worked hard to open up not only to Taylor but FOR Taylor. Carey is a genius producer and killer musician, but life long anxiety and the death of his best friend send him into seclusion, Taylor is sent by his sister to help find an assistant for Carey, when he is drawn to and willing to try to work with Taylor, everybody is over the moon happy. Taylor is smart, considerate, she loves music. Their road isn’t easy or without bumps but like the best rock ballads it grabs you, and pulls you into a wild beautiful storm. And when the storm clears and the sun shines, it’s spectacular. There’s some visiting with friends from Players & Dirty. JD hit a home run here, the narrators were great. It’s long but so worth it. Never thought it, but this was even better than Taylor’s bestie Danica and Ash’s story. And I love Ash.

As her previous books, Jaine Diamond did an amazing job with this on! The super sexy love scenes, the gut-wrenching emotional scenes, and the deeply connected relationships all come together in a story that truly tugs at the reader's heartstrings! Every character has such relatable depth, especially if the reader starts from the beginning (book 0.5 in the Dirty series). Just be sure to have tissues ready!!

This is my favorite book in the entire Dirty/Player universe. All of the books have been great except the Seth/Ell I found that one just ehh.. but otherwise what an amazing series. I hope there is more books. Like Ell’s sister and Matt and Danika sister..or Piper story.

This book thought..❤️❤️❤️ Taylor was so good with Carry. This was written in such a way that you could feel his anxiety as you read.. it didn’t feel made up or forced. Just the very end was pretty cheesey but how else do you tie the thing up in a pretty bow? Lol great books!!

The best!

Audible review. Dual POV. Book 4 in the Players series. This book starts in June, 6 months after 'Sweet Temptation' and ends in August of the next year. Jaine Diamond does a great job crafting her characters & stories. Each of her characters have traits that are unique and make them seem "real." Both narrators did a great job but the characters are Canadian so the American accents didn't fit. Trigger warning: anxiety and panic attacks (described but with great care of both the character and reader).

Cary's life has been paused for the last 5 years after a traumatic event. Courteney, Cary's younger sister & co-star of book 2 'Filthy Beautiful,' is fighting to help Cary, knowing that his life has stalled. Courteney knows Cary still needs an assistant so she convinces Taylor to help her talk to Cary, find out exactly what he needs, and interview candidates. Both Cary's and Taylor's lives change the day they meet. Their story is so full of special moments that are both encouraging and heartbreakingly poignant. I didn't want their story to end.

I feel compelled to acknowledge 2 times that I truly laughed while reading this story (there were more but these were the standouts): Freddy & the phrase "finders keepers." I loved Freddy, Cary's cat. Freddy helped humanize Cary & bring a few light moments in this sometimes heavy story. When you read the story you will hopefully enjoy "finders keepers" as much as I did.

Thank you Jaine Diamond for sharing this story and shedding light on a difficult topic with such care. I loved that each chapter's title was a song title. JP
