Publisher's summary

All it took was one shot of whiskey to let myself burn.

Cash told me loving him wasn't a risk. He promised we would dance in the moonlight.

He swore he was nothing like the ones who broke my heart.

And he was right. He was so much worse.

But what do you do with an addiction you can’t kick?

Drink in the shadows, take shots in the dark, and savor the buzz knowing the next morning won’t be worth it.

Because it’s not enough.

Nothing is ever enough when the person you hate is also the one you love.

Loving Whiskey is book two of the Falling for Whiskey duet. It is a Billionaire Contemporary Romance.

This book is part of a duet and is not a standalone.

Fantastic ending to this duet!

𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍, 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒂 𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒌 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚.

𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘺 picks up where 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘓𝘪𝘦𝘴 left off with Cash’s family secrets on the precipice of being revealed and him believing the one person he ever truly loved is responsible for the potential downfall of the family name and business. He lashes out, and he does it in a heartbreaking manner, leaving Grace a heap on the floor in the wake of his destruction.

My heart absolutely broke for both of these characters throughout this book. The turmoil, anguish, pain, and suffering they both had to endure away from each other and the resentment and anger that would transpire in each other’s presence left me a mess. There were times I just wanted to smack Cash upside the head and make him open his eyes to his stupidity! Thankfully, Grace did not give in right away to Cash’s apologies and vows to be a better man. She made him work for it and prove those sentiments to her, and boy did she make him grovel.

𝑾𝒆’𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒔, 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒕𝒆’𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅. 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑰 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒅𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒉𝒆𝒓.

The angst, spice, and volatility of their relationship left you reaching for more from these characters and your heart breaking and mending right along with them. I wish I had the ability to crawl into these pages to be a comfort for Cash and Grace on their journey to get to their HEA, but since that is not possible, it was refreshing to see they each had people in their corner to help guide them in the direction that would ultimately heal them.

Brittanee did a phenomenal job in wrapping up this duet in a perfect bow. But be prepared for the rollercoaster of emotions, secrets, lies, broken hearts, love, healing, and second chances to occur! I can’t wait to see future books from some of the secondary characters, especially Tess, Frank, and hopefully Hayden!

Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers once again absolutely poured their heart and soul into this performance. These two aren’t just reading words from a page they are bringing these characters and story to life! The uncanny ability they have individually, as well as together, is what dream teams are made of!

Joe and Lucy are phenomenal voice actors, and it shows when they voice different characters throughout this story. I couldn’t get enough of Frank’s Boston accent, Hayden’s British accent, and the portrayal of Cash’s grandfather. Tessa’s higher pitched vocals, Marion’s low and sultry tone, and Cat's mature and professional demeanor were fantastic!

I’m still absolutely blown away by Lucy’s performance. When I listen to an audiobook, she is what I want to hear. I want to hear the inflection, the emotions, the laughter, and the tears portrayed by all characters involved. I want to feel as if I’m sitting right there in the same room with them and feeling what they are feeling at any given time. Lucy does this in spades! She sucks you in with her talented voice and spectacular performance that ultimately leaves you stunned and speechless!

Joe can never do wrong when it comes to his performance! The heartbreak, the pain, the anger, and the fear you hear from Cash is devastating. The talent Joe has to portray these emotions and ultimately have the listener experiencing these emotions at the same time is remarkable. Once again, Joe made this book come to life. He is a phenomenal voice actor, and you can never go wrong to listening to any book he narrates. If you want to feel as if you’re in the story, if you want to experience all the emotions, if you want to blush and have the biggest and most ridiculous smile on your face, then look no further because Joe delivered all of these scenarios and more!

Wrapped up perfectly!

This one wrapped up real nicely. While I'll probably never be a fan of the miscommunication trope, the writing and Joe Arden's narration made it really enjoyable. I will sag that I saw the "twist" coming early on.....we're talking during book one because the author's foreshadowing was done incredibly well. It's definitely a book that you won't want to stop until the very end.

THE CONCLUSION

Audiobook
Duet Rating: 8/10
Spice: 3/5
Tropes: Billionaire Romance

This duet owned me. I couldn't stop listening to it. Like, you know it's a good audiobook when you are scrubbing baseboards to keep listening to it. THAT GOOD. Ugh, i loved it so much. I will say, Cash INFURIATED me in this book just listen to the women and those around you but alas I also get it she did lie to him in the beginning but like damn I just wanted them to work it out faster than that. love that he started talking to someone. love the little plot twists in the book. and again clearly its addictive because I did consume both books in 24hours so if that tell you anything LOL.

I really liked Cash + Grace
but damn, gimme Jay + Kat I'm READDYYYY

OMG, i cant decide if if love it or Hate it

Jesus, I’ve read books with miscommunication but this Duet took the lead in all of them, i don’t understand how anyone could say they live someone as much as these two do and NOT TALK TO EACH OTHER.
I really want to believe that a woman that is a mature and 36 would do better than this character did. Really. Overall its a frustrating experience. But the character development is ok, the story is interesting and the spice is what i feel took it into an enjoyable experience.
Joe Arden always makes it better. So just for him i powered through.

Book 2 - Duet

This is book 2 in Nicole's Falling For Whiskey series/duet. What a wonderful journey we're taken on as we continue Cash and Grace's story. Please be sure to read/listen to Whiskey Lies prior to this book. We're taken on a rollercoaster of a ride with these two who have such a volatile relationship, but their connection is undeniable. The chemistry is off the charts hot. Secrets, lies and reconciliations all these and more make this an addictive read/listen. The narration was so good and brought these characters to life in the best possible way. Loved this duet and I am definitely looking forward to more from Nicole!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

HOT Romance

“I can still smell him on my skin, taste him in my mouth, and feel him in my bones. He’s left an impression that’s not likely to disappear tonight. I’m just hoping it doesn’t last forever.”

Wow, if you thought Whiskey Lies was a rollercoaster of emotion, buckle up! Loving Whiskey will take you on a ride through all of your feelings. Given that Cash is an infuriating, lovable dumdum, get ready to ride out that facepalming rage. Loving Whiskey definitely put me through the emotional wringer; I may have cursed Brittanee Nicole a few times while listening, but she got me again in the end! I don’t love the secret-keeping and miscommunication plot devices, but I enjoyed book two better overall. Grace has decided to embrace the current turmoil and like the phoenix, she rises from the ashes of her old life to take what she wants with confidence. Look out for the twists & turns, Brittanee will keep your pulse pounding until the very end. Brittanee Nicole cranks up the heat and passion between Cash & Grace in Loving Whiskey. Hate fuels the heat and dammmmmn is it HOT!

Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers have outdone themselves in Loving Whiskey. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a devastated, pleading growl as sexy as Joe Arden’s in his portrayal of Cash. Joe gives an emotionally raw, charismatic performance that tugs at the heartstrings. I’m a fan of all versions of Joe, but seductive whisper growl Joe is absolutely at the top of the favorites list. Lucy Rivers gives another captivating performance as the beguiling, unique, confident Grace. There were moments I wanted to rage-quit this story, but Joe and Lucy kept me in it and oh my heart am I grateful they did! If you’re a fan of spicy audiobooks, add this to your TBL!

A Billionaire Contemporary Romance!

This book is part of the Boston Billionaires Series, and the second installment in the Falling for Whiskey Duet, a billionaire contemporary romance. The story continues where the first book left off. Cash and Grace’s story is entertaining, and passionate. I liked the intrigue, and the twists and turns. I loved the ending. Looking forward to listening to Wishing for Champagne Kisses, the next book in the series. Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers did an outstanding job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. #HomeCookedBooks
