About this listen

He says I’m his soul mate. But I’m also another man’s wife.

It was supposed to be a simple weekend away to forget the heartache caused by my cheating husband. But the man sitting next to me in 1B has different plans. Cash’s whiskey-colored eyes and easy smile beg me to dance beneath the stars, kiss in the moonlight, and walk hand in hand down the streets of Boston. Unfortunately, life has other plans because I’m still married, and Cash James is the billionaire playboy standing between me and my dream promotion.

My job is simple—find Mr. James a wife. But nothing is easy when simply walking into his office and inhaling his woodsy scent makes me feel a buzz like I’ve just sipped straight from the whiskey bottle. He makes me tipsy with emotion. Breathless, fearless, and stupid.

Because no matter how good it feels in the moment, our love burns on the way down.

Whiskey Lies is book one of the Falling for Whiskey duet. It is a billionaire contemporary romance. This book is part of a duet and is not a stand-alone.

Hot Hot Hot

From the beginning, I knew the author had some serious talent! I jumped right into this story. The chemistry between Cash and Grace was electric. Grace was so sassy, while Cash had sexiness in spades.
Grace meets Cash in 1st class on her way to a weekend getaway. Cash strikes up a conversation and then orders champagne. They have this amazing weekend and then life happens.
Although you can’t imagine the turn it’s about to take. There is so much drama that they have to deal with and some of it pits themselves against the other. And then…..the cliffhanger. I knew it was coming.
I’ve been trying process all of my emotions. Because this author leaves you feeling everything…happiness, anger, frustration, confusion, love, hopefulness and so many more.
The narration was amazing. Joe Arden gave a dark, rich, smoothe tone to Cash. Lucy did a great job with both the confident Grace and the Grace who felt like she was beaten down for a bit.

It should be illegal to write a story this HOT and

leave it on a cliffhanger! I'm dying! I started it before I realized it was a duet. Then I knew it was going to hurt me but it was too late. I couldn't turn back. God I love Joe Arden😍. This author really did him justice.

Ready for book 2

I wanna start by saying that I am so happy I can jump right into book 2 because I need answers. I knew the ending had to lead into another book but I hate the way Cash is so quick to change the feelings of 'I love you. You can't get rid of me' to 'Get tf out of my house'. Where was the loyalty he promised. He didn't even give Grace a proper chance to hear her out or at least make sense of what's going on. That gutted me right there. The narration was AMAZING! The voice actors fit their characters so well and I can't wait to listen to them again in the next book.

Very entertaining!

This was a very entertaining read! There were some very frustrating parts where the characters were continually going back and forth, not communicating, and disagreeing. Those pieces aside, I still enjoyed the story. I definitely need to dive into the next installment just to see how all the drama pans out.

One of the most angsty books ever!

First off I want to say that the voice performance was outstanding. The narrators did a fantastic job and brought the book to another level. Without the performance, I don't think I would have rated the book as high. The characters sometimes just made me so mad. Definitely a book that if you don't like the miscommunication trope, you will not like this book. I give the story a 4 and the audio a 5

Insta love

I could’ve done without the Insta love. Also, I wish that there had been more tension before the relationship began. Overall, the narrators save the story. And that last page or last scene It does make me wanna read the next book.

OMG this drags

The FMC is into the MMC but talks herself out it over and over again for the strangest reasons. That and the constant tug of war between them for people in their thirties, the whole thing is ridiculous. Grace starts out as this strong woman in the first few chapters and ends up a weeping mess who can't stand up to her mother. she keeps convincing herself that he can't be a woman going through a divorce and br with him. what century is she in? They are adults, but she keeps lying, want him, don't want him, so absurd.
