About this listen

Private investigators Liz Talbot and Nate Andrews have worked their share of domestic cases. So when Tammy Sue Lyerly hires them to find out what her husband is hiding, they expect to find something looney but harmless. After all, this is the guy who claims to have been a DEA agent, a champion bull rider, and a NASCAR driver. But when he turns up dead the morning after Liz and Nate deliver incriminating photos, Tammy Sue becomes the prime suspect. Questioning the truth of Zeke Lyerly's tall tales, Liz and Nate race to uncover small-town scandals, long buried secrets, and the victim's tumultuous past to keep Tammy Sue out of jail and the case from going up in flames.

Love the series. Always a mystery where the unusual happens and life in the low country, small town is full of neighborly angst that is eventually resolved in a unique way. Love this series.

Well written and beautifullly read. The mystery is interesting to follow and kept me interested. As always with this series, the characters are spot on. Love the Southern flavor, the moments of humor which had me chuckling out loud. The author has developed a smart, courageous protagonist with a wonderful cast of family and friends to keep her partly grounded and partly insane (in the best way, as families do). Her ghost friend plays only a minor role in this book. It was a delightful journey. Love this series and am looking forward eagerly to the next installment

I enjoy the life in the South feeling of these stories. I cannot wait for the next book.
The narrator does such a good job with the characters. You get a visual of each person through both the story and the narration.

Such a good series!
