About this listen

When hunky rancher "Lucky Beau" Luckadeau accuses spitfire Milli Torres of stealing his prize bull, she promptly shoots at him, triggering a neighborly feud that only gets resolved when they discover they share a steamy hot memory from a night long ago.

It was a night of passion that has haunted Lucky. The mysterious beauty he seduced at a cousin's wedding has disappeared. He's always been lucky at cards, lucky with cattle, and lucky with land, but he's never been lucky in love.

Now Milli Torres has come to southern Oklahoma to help out on her grandfather's ranch. A cut fence and a big, mean Angus bull in the pasture are bad enough, but then she looks up and sees Beau Luckadeau on the other side of the fence. Great God Almighty, how did he get from Louisiana to Ardmore, Oklahoma, and what in the hell is she going to do if he recognizes her?

Good story but bad language and a little to much sex. Would have been better if it was toned down some

Liked the story and overall performance but prefer female characters parts to be read by a feminine sounding voice. This story is read by a male voice for all of its characters. I think it detracts from the story.

A fun storyline

Great book. Everything they did together was backwards. Their love was rough going. Love finds away. Strong willed they both were. Secrets were bound to come out.

Hard to trust

I always enjoy Carolyn Brown’s books. I really like her sense of humor, and the stories about small-town living and Cowboys. Brian Hutchinson really didn’t do a good job narrating this book. Often times it was hard to tell the difference in the characters. The female narrators, like Brittany Presley, that she chooses really do a much better job, and make her books really come to life.

I have read several of her books and none of them have been a disappointment.

I love cute country romance stories and Carolyn Brown knows how to write the best ones! I have listened to 3 of her series, twice! The Luckadeau series is my favorite and plan to listen to it for a 3rd time!

My Favorite series!

Loved the fiery personality of Millie, and as a small woman myself, appreciated that she stood up for herself. She also could apologize for her mistakes.
Beau was a unique and not quite believable character for me. There were too many conflicting character traits that didn't add up. Otherwise, the story was sweet in that all the family accepted their coming together and that Beau and Millie had had a one night stand that produced a child. Usually there's going to be at least someone who gets their nose Brent out of shape.
Brian Hutchinson did a good job. He didn't make Millie saccharine sweet sounding nor any of the other women. I always appreciate make narrators who are capable of this!
Entertaining story in my booklist.

This author never disappoints me. I enjoyed the feistiness of the two main characters. I felt the story flows well.
