High school nostalgia with a twist

Despite how short the story is, the impact will be memorable. From start to end the story grabs you and holds your interest as the narrator goes on about their experience in school, specifically their on again off again admiration and feelings toward their teacher MacGregor. It all lands with a painfully nostalgic step as you the reader (or listener) get the juicy details and moments in time worth remembering.

As for the voice actress she does a great job, though a few words are oddly pronounced. Other than that, she's got the voice and tone that is calm and relaxing, and I hope to hear more of her work in the future.

Takes you back to the struggles of high school

I love the way the narrator captures the feeling of a high-schooler just trying to make it through those tough years. A student, who has talent but doesn't always do well in school, tries continuously to win favor of a teacher she admires. It is a complicated love/hate relationship, in which the student experiences a rollercoaster of going from "favorite student" to "disappointment." As a reader, I personally dislike the teacher very much and the idea of being his student makes me very uncomfortable, but I feel like that was exactly the point of this short story and I enjoyed it.

Interesting Coming of Age

Well read short. I feel like the teacher failed the student. It was interesting following along the path of the story. Took me right back to school with one teacher you try to impress. I hope we get more POV like this in future reads.
