About this listen

A man-made plague has swept the Earth, but a small group survives, along with the green-eyed Crakers - a gentle species bio-engineered to replace humans. Toby, one-time member of the Gods Gardeners and expert in mushrooms and bees, is still in love with street-smart Zeb, who has an interesting past.

The Crakers’ reluctant prophet, Snowman-the-Jimmy, is hallucinating; Amanda is in shock from a Painballer attack; and Ivory Bill yearns for the provocative Swift Fox, who is flirting with Zeb. Meanwhile, giant Pigoons and malevolent Painballers threaten to attack.

I was really hooked on the story of the first 2 books of MaddAddam trilogy, and narrators were great, but MaddAddam was a bit of disappointment both story wise and narrators didn’t do a great job at all.

A bit of disappointment after Oryx and Crake and The Year of the Flood

Atwood is a God of writing. All my kids names will be named after characters from this book. I’m blown away.

Incredible

Margaret Atwood is pure genius. I devoured this trilogy. The characters are interesting and complex. The world she created makes you seriously consider the effects the human race has on nature.
In this time of covid-19 - a read that we can loosely relate to.

Excellent ending to an entrancing trilogy

A lovely journey with such rich characters. I will miss them all, but they will stay with me.

The three books work so well together.
