About this listen

Finally, Rhiannen is old enough to befriend a newly hatched dragonet. Her future path in dragon racing spans bright and exciting before her.

But life has a knack for not going as planned. A hawk attacks her family farm and carries Rhiannen far from the haven. Instead of preparing for dragon riding, she has to find a way to survive a vast wilderness full of predators that see her as bite-sized and tasty.

When she finds a dragon nest, she's given the hope of befriending a wild dragonet to train and return home with. But the answer is hardly that simple as mischievous fate twists her plans again and again....

Those who have read book one should know that the revolution has been postponed.

This book is about a young woman who dreams of being a dragon rider. A good chunk of the book is about her surviving in the wilderness. So those who like survival adventure stories should check it out.

This installment almost feels like a stand alone except that the events of book one are referenced and community opinions of mages are divided. Book three should be good.

On the performance: I am now a fan of this narrator. Her voice work for characters is distinct enough that I recognized who was speaking by the voice. And her diction was such that I very had to guess what she was saying. I also felt as though she honestly enjoyed the story she was reading.
