Publisher's summary

Belinda Weatherhead has secretly loved Thomas Rawlinson her entire life. Tortured by seeing him every day, the easy friendship he shares with her brother makes him off-limits. So when he leaves town unexpectedly, Belinda decides that it is time she got over him and found herself a man who can see her as she really is.

Thomas Rawlinson has always been restless. He longs to get away from the confines of his ranching family, knowing he simply doesn't fit in there. But a year in Philadelphia has him missing the family he loves, and he longs to find a way to return, and to somehow save face whilst doing so. Finding an advertisement in the newspaper, he replies, not knowing how much it will change his life. But, will he like what he finds when he finally meets his mystery woman, or will there be another surprise he simply wasn't expecting?

Belinda and Thomas's Story

Belinda and former rancher Thomas consider being the next love match to join the Faith Creek, Texas happily ever after crowd. I recommend this entire series, but check out the box sets for a better deal if using Audible credits.

another good book in this series

This was another good read. I enjoyed visiting Faith Creek again. Each story is sweet and short. They are fun listens and I will continue to read and or listen to this author. I think others will enjoy this book as well as the rest of the series. The plot moved along at a steady pace and held my attention. These may not be for everyone but I would recommend them to those who enjoy historical mail order bride romances. The narrator did a great job once again.

love

All the books in this series are fantastic. The stories are different, short, and entertaining. The narrator, Alan Taylor, is as always fantastic in bringing this book to life.

Sweet Historical Romance

Ooh, I think this one’s my favorite! Both characters are from Faith Creek, but one leaves town for a while! He wants to return but to save face decides a marriage might be a great reason and no one would question his return! A wonderful story! Same great narrator!

Sweet and Clean historical romance is the most apt description of this book.

Wants again I have to mention I have a love-hate relationship with call of Gracie lately it has been mostly love. I have never read a book by an author who in the beginning I said she had no talent put people in the wrong century with the wrong opinions and by the end of the book thought she was a wonderful writer except for Carla Gracie. Despite the first book when we got off on the wrong sentence, LOL,I am thoroughly enjoyed her books. Now, she still ass people in the 1800s treating their work animals as pets and warning children to have childhood which didn’t happen in the real world… Just saying. Anyway this was a great book I loved it and if you like sweet and clean historical romance you’ll love this book because no matter how out-of-the-box she makes her frontier characters she does it with imagination and talent because you need imagination to think that every man would put up with a woman who wanted a career… Which that’s not what they called working back then Ian to be independent and make her own decisions. keep in mind this was a time The best thinkers in the world thought that if women jogged rode a bike to pay us a straddle the horse the womb or cervix would drop out of their stomachs onto the floor or whatever surface the woman would be sitting on. This is not a joke I am so serious!stomach. I digress I say all this only to say this book was great I loved it you’ll love it if you like historical romance is I just wish Carla Gracie would get her opinions straight with the century, but if you don’t all is not lost I will still be reading.
