Publisher's summary

Susanna Greyshott's family were once wealthy and well-to-do, but they have fallen upon hard times, and she and her Mama have been forced to make changes and do the best they can under the circumstances. But it has made Susanna hard as flint, unwilling to forgive and even less willing to open her heart. She is quite prepared to move to Texas, where she believes she may finally be able to build a life for her and her Mama where they are beholden to no-one, but a face from her past could ruin it all. Can she truly let herself accept all the benefits and happiness that Faith Creek longs to offer? Will she learn to forgive and accept the love that has always been all around her?

Dr. Nathaniel Baron has been Faith Creek's only physician for some time, but as more and more people arrive and make their homes there he knows he will have to expand the practice. But searching for suitable doctors and nurses who actually wish to make a new start in the wilds of Texas isn't that easy - especially when you secretly wish to find a bride and haven't even let yourself know it yet!

Love this series!

Another fun, easy listen by Karla Gracey, we visit Faith Creek once more. Susanna is looking to move to a new town with her mother so they can start their lives over. Nathanial Baron is looking for a new nurse, and with this the possibility of a wife. When he sees Susanna's letter, and her recommendation from the hospital she works in, he hires her even though she states plainly that she has no intention of ever getting married. When the two meet though, their chemistry is immediate. When learning of her stepfather, and why she wanted to move though, things become a little sticky. It is touch and go, and is fun to see if these two can actually get their acts together and keep Susanna's mother happy at the same time!

Alan Taylor's portrayal of this historical romance series continues to be spot on. Love his voice for all the characters, especially is with Susanna's stepfather, I found it perfect and fun!

Susanna's Destiny

Mail Order Bride-Susanna's Destiny (Faith Creek Brides #10)
:Karla Gracey

A sweet, clean, historical western, mail order bride book. Dr Nathaniel Baron advertised for a nurse that may eventually become his bride. Susanna Greyshott was born into wealth. but when her father died and his family contested his will they were left broke. Her mother re-married but the step father was a gambler. Her mother took a job as a nanny. Now after Susanna finished nursing school she wants a position where she can care for her mother. Will they work or will the new doctor get in the way?

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Alan Taylor is always an enjoyable listen.

Sweet, short, and enjoyable

Another sweet story set in Faith Creek. I can't wait to listen to the next one. I love these stories but I do wish they didn't leave so much up for question at the end of them. They have their happily ever after but they don't tell how life goes for them after they get married. You do get to hear about some of the characters in other books though. I will listen to any stories by this author and narrator. I like his voice and enjoy listening to him read. I would recommend this book to others who enjoy historical romances reads, more specifically those about mail order brides.
