Maybe OCD Isn’t So Bad!

The insights in this book have really changed how I view OCD and my struggles. The strategies offered and the mindfulness techniques suggested are going to be game changers for me, but the best part was learning a new way to describe my situation. I recommend this book to any who knows someone with OCD, and to anyone who wants to learn more about it.

Empowering and Insightful Perspective

This audiobook offers a refreshing and empowering take on living with OCD by focusing on how its traits can be turned into personal strengths. I found the part about breaking big tasks into smaller, manageable steps especially helpful for reducing anxiety and staying focused. The chapter on building strong daily routines gave clear guidance on how structure can bring calm and clarity. I also appreciated the idea of reframing intrusive thoughts as opportunities to build mental resilience. The discussion on using hyperfocus as a tool for success was both inspiring and practical.

Finally - a Book That Gets It (& Makes You Laugh)

My husband likes to joke that my OCD kicks in the second I start stacking restaurant plates or clearing the kitchen counter before he’s even done cooking. (Guilty.) But after listening to Make OCD Your Superpower, I’m feeling a lot less like “the quirky one” and a lot more empowered.

This book takes something so often misunderstood and flips the script in the best way. Instead of treating OCD like a shameful burden, it reframes it as a source of strength—yes, strength!—when managed well. The author blends research, personal experience, and humor so well, it felt like a pep talk I didn’t know I needed.

It made me laugh, think, and even sit up a little straighter. If you or someone you love lives with OCD—or even just strong preferences for clean counters—this book is both encouraging and enlightening.

Highly recommend. Especially if you’ve ever rearranged silverware at a restaurant and called it “helping.”

Helped Me See OCD Differently

I’ve struggled with OCD for years and usually felt like it was just something to manage or hide. This book flipped that thinking for me. It gave me realistic ways to work with my thoughts instead of against them. I started applying a few strategies at work and even noticed how much better I handle stressful situations now. It’s super approachable and not overly clinical, which I appreciated. Definitely worth checking out.

The real life examples made it relatable, and for the first time, I felt hopeful not broken. If you’re tired of just coping and ready to transform, this book is a must.

See Overthinking and Overachieving Differently

As someone who tends to overanalyze and obsess over details, this listen felt like it was speaking directly to that part of me—without making it feel like a problem that needs fixing. The approach here is focused on what can be done, not just what’s “wrong.” It gave me a new way to look at how my brain works—and how to actually use that to my advantage. I plan to share this with my family and friends who may need it.
