This was my first Anne L. Parks's book, and won't be my last. This is the first book in the Kylie Tate Romantic Thriller trilogy. Wow!! I loved it! Kylie and Alex's story is complex and suspenseful. They both are interesting characters. The storyline is filled with mystery, secrets, danger, and twists and turns. The world building is intriguing. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listening to Revenge, the next book in the series. Raquel Beattie and Orcus Auditory did an amazing job with the narration. They are new narrators to me. Their voices are very pleasant to listen to. This is an excellent romantic thriller.

This was a great suspenseful romance book! I was riveted during the entire thing! I cannot wait to read the next book!

First time author for me. With a new author I often try and find something out about them. There wasn't much to be found about this author, legal background and wife of a Navy guy was about all I could come up with. The main character went to Michigan Law which made me wonder if that's where she went?

Anyway, in my experience, romantic thrillers are thrillers that have one or two erotic romantic episodes where the sex is really explicit. This one was different in that it didn't have the erotic sex but rather had a sexual tension that lasted throughout the book. It's up to the listener to know and decide which type they like best, maybe both.

On the thriller side, it was pretty good. If anything there was a foreboding of really bad things to happen and you are just waiting for the shoe to drop. The author does a good job and making you wonder if the new boyfriend is capable to the things the old boyfriend brought to the table. Usually I don't mind the suspense and bad things that happen but in this one I cringed a bit about going back to the book knowing/suspecting that bad things were about to occur at any moment.

Great start to a new series, by a new to me author. Cover to cover, I was sucked in and couldnt let go.

I found this in my recommendations and decided to give it a try and was shock to find out that Orcusauditory is in it! so that's a plus! But this story is very well written, had me feeling all the emotions when the trial was going and even on the suspense scenes! :)
