Publisher's summary

Once Cait Du Bois vowed never to return to the place that reminds her of the horror she experienced. But when Hotel Lilith is chosen as the location for her high-school reunion, she finds herself unable to resist the appeal of showing off her new life to the people who once made her existence miserable. Cait is no stranger to being noticed in public, especially as a best-selling author with an enthusiastic fan base, but back at Hotel Lilith, she was once recognized for a completely different reason.

With all eyes on her as she returns to the town she’s spent years running from, she finds it increasingly difficult to discern between fans and foes. Haunted by the memory of a night that torments her, she resolves to put the past behind her and move on. No one knows the truth about what happened back then. At least, that’s what she’s always believed.

Shortly after her arrival, strange things begin to occur. A mysterious package, strange calls, and frightening text messages seem to be just the beginning of the nightmare about to unfold. Someone is determined to bring the truth to light. If they succeed, the life Cait has built based on secrets could come crashing down around her. And if they want her to pay for what she’s done, her lies may be the least of her concerns. Someone’s out for blood.

I didn’t want it to end!

Another fantastic book by Kiersten Modglin!

This is a deliciously creepy addictive story. It kept me guessing and I couldn’t stop listening!

The narration was perfect. Meg Price did an excellent job.

Very entertaining

High School relationships are so precarious, volotile, special, scary, romantic and the memories can haunt you for many years.

Enjoyable guilty-pleasure listen!

This book was so fun to listen to. I breezed through it in 2 days. And it kept me guessing until the end! Thanks Kiersten Modglin and Meg Price for the fun escape! I’ll be reading/listening to more of your work I hope!

Great narration

Somewhat enjoyable, but unrealistic mystery.

I loved the premise of a high school reunion at an atmospheric small-town hotel where Something Bad Happened with the same group prom night ten years prior. Cait, a former unpopular girl turned best selling writer, now happily married to a once popular classmate Grant, her dead best friend Jamie’s ex. Sam, Cait and Jamie’s other best friend, an unlikable jerk also attends the reunion. Now more awful (though I think readers are supposed to like and root for him), he disparages Cait’s marriage, disrespects her boundaries under the guise of being a good guy.

Everyone knows high school kids can be mean. Popular kids can be exclusionary. Unpopular kids can want to belong. Rarely are teenagers pathologically homicidal.

The pitch-perfect narration made the story more enjoyable to listen than I think I’d have enjoyed if I was reading. I like Kiersten Modglin’s writing style and Cait’s first person narrative though as a character Cait seemed too clueless to write mysteries, had terrible boundaries even when her instincts were on track.

THE REUNION is a fun, imperfect Audible listen.

Brilliant

Wow... such a great book. I bought the book and than I bought the audio cause we were going out of town and I didn't want to miss anything in the story; I got addicted to this story. Listening to it I felt I knew these people and could see everything in the story how it was described and what was going on. I'm ready for the next book. Audio was excellent. Congratulations Kiersten. Elaine Lasley Smith

Mostly for YA readers

I think if I was young I would have liked it. It’s a little juvenile for me.

An Unforgettable Reunion Experience

"The Reunion" novel took me on an emotional rollercoaster through the lives of its well-drawn characters. The story's concept of reconnecting with old friends resonated deeply. The author's descriptive prose painted vivid scenes, immersing me in nostalgia and relatable experiences. The plot, with its secrets and surprises, kept me engaged throughout. However, I wished for a bit more character development and depth in some instances. Nevertheless, the novel's ending tied up loose ends effectively. "The Reunion" is a compelling read that explores themes of friendship, forgiveness, and the passage of time. It's a solid 4-star journey into the past.

Excellent ☆☆☆☆☆!

Just when you think she can't write a better novel, this comes out. I did not expect much because it was written so quickly but was I wrong. Terrific plot twists, well developed characters. I listened to the entire thing in two days! I loved it. Another hit.

Interesting enough to keep listening

Main character was really annoying. Storyline interesting enough to keep listening. Not really a thriller and ending was lackluster. Just ok.

Great listen

Took me a chapter or two to get into it, but then was hard to stop. Really enjoyed it.
