Great Historical Fiction

I have read Caesar’s gCommentaries several times and many non-fiction history books on the late republic. Simon Turney does a wonderful job with historical fiction. He doesn’t run too far from the facts as we think we have them. Putting fictional characters in a reasonable timeline is hard and requires a real knowledge of the history. I have really enjoyed all 15 books. Great characters a lot of action and humor. Add a great reader and you can’t miss.

Turney is a master writer!

I have listened to all 15 books in this series, and this ending could not have been more enthralling. Mr. Turney gave a whole new perspective on the Ides of March. The narration was brilliant as always by Malik Williams. I will miss Fronto: such a great protagonist, as well as his companions. Roma Invicta!

I've been through the 15 books.
it kept me immerged into the Fronto's life.
I've waited for the last book and wasn't disapointed.
