About this listen

When danger lurks behind a familiar face....

Successful architect Rachel Granger loves her job and her life, but when a terrorist on the FBI's most wanted list targets her, there's only one man she can trust. She hasn't seen Jake in years, but her former college friend told her he'd always be there for her and she definitely needs him now. Even though her feelings for him go far deeper than friendship and just being around him risks her heart, she would do anything to keep those she loves safe from a madman bent on unleashing hell.

Only one man from her past can help.

FBI Special Agent Jake Evers made the biggest mistake of his life when he let Rachel slip through his fingers over two years ago. It doesn't matter that he hasn't seen her since then - if she needs him, he'll be there. When he learns that she's the target of a domestic terror cell, he'll do everything in his power to keep her safe. He's never gotten over her and won't risk losing her again now that she's reappeared in his life. But the threat is more widespread than they realized and now it's a race against time to keep her and scores of innocent civilians alive.

Waited too long

I've had this audiobook since it came out. It's just been sitting here waiting for me to pick it. Sorry Kaylea for taking for long.
I ve got to be honest, I really enjoy some instant gratification in my books, but require and excellent storyline too. It's a difficult spot to fill since usually you only get one or the other or a bad attempt at both.
Marked did not disappoint one bit. Between the fantastic voice of Jeffery Kafer and Kaylea's story my boxes all got checked. I enjoyed the deep tone of Jeffrey and I could feel the emotions for both male and female characters. He didn't try to pitch the female spots too high which is something I encounter a lot. He wasn't monotoned either.
Eventually I'll swing through and snage the rest of the series in audio. Zero regrets.

Loved the book despite the terrible narration.

I love Kaylea’s books. I read them all multiple times. But I can’t listen to any more with this narrator. He is wooden with the same inflection for every sentence. Like Charlie Sheen reading a phone book. It’s a shame she didn’t use Kaleo Griffith.

Very Thin & Lacking

The story is very thin and feels rushed. Neads to be more meat to the story. There is no depth to the characters. This cold have been a much better book.

Love a cop

This book was an exciting adventure and romance story. Love scenes were quite good. I really like this author's work and the narrator did a excellent job.

Cadence of narration is distracting

This story has good characters and a good story, but so much space is spend on graphic sex scenes. That is not for me. The cadence of the performer is completely annoying and distracting.

HMMM Not very memorable.

Well this story is not very memorable, I finished it a week ago and can't remember anything great about it.

The story line and plot were a bit out of whack and all over the place. I do remember that. The characters were okay at best. Not planning on moving on with this series.

As for the narration, it was very good. I do like Jeffrey Kafer. He has a nice voice and he does a good job on the female voices.

Love this author!

What a find! I was looking for something new to read on vacation, and discovered Kaylea Cross. The story is exciting and suspenseful, and the characters are well developed. If you like the Titan series by Cristin Harber, you’ll love this series by Kaylea Cross! And Jeffrey Kafer is a great narrator for this genre! Can’t wait to read more!!

Fell in love with this one right away!

I have always loved the “Titan” series written by Christen Harber & narrated by Jeffrey Kafer. Jeffrey is my all time favorite narrator. Never thought I would come across something as good as that combination. Until this series! OMG! I loved the characters, I loved the storyline and was so so excited to have Mr. Kafer telling me the story. He has a voice that draws me in and really brings those characters to life! I’m super excited to jump into the next book in this series. I really enjoy Kaylea Cross. I have read some of her other series, and really enjoyed her style. But this one takes the cake so far! L O V E... LOVE IT!

Interesting, but need more story

Jake and Rachel were good friends in college. They liked each other but were unable to date. Life happens and they are pulled in different directions. Rachel finds herself in trouble and calls on Jake to help her out of the dangerous situation.

A good start to the series. Interesting plot. Good action.

The story was too short for the author to tackle the interesting, complicated plot she created. Then Kaylea Cross threw in a potential side romance. Not enough pages for development. Still a good read.
