Great starting point for those who don't know where to start, ND-flavored
Having received an opportunity to transfer a song from my head into an actual recording, I searched for a guide to recording studios for people who have no prior experience with one in order to prepare better and avoid potential pitfalls. This was perfect.
I waited until after my recording session to leave a review, and can honestly say the guide was useful and my first recording experience was better for having listened to this first. There were no surprises. Communication with the sound engineer and the expectations were clear. Time estimates which, at first, sounded like "too much time, can't possibly take that long" ended up being on point for me as a first timer.
Narration style was relatable, and everything I could think of was covered, including mental/physical prep that is not directly related to music. There are sections and lists (in accompanying PDF) that seem to speak directly to neurodivergent minds: an average person might think it's "duh", but for me, having a checklist that includes little things like showering and planning when/what to eat on the day was an essential tool for keeping anxiety in check and not getting overwhelmed.
