The subtitle of this book promises it will be a step-by-step guide to building your leadership and management skills, but I didn't get a sense while listening to it that it had any sort of stepwise arrangement. Having read some books on leadership and management, including while in nursing school, I found this book rather banal. It parrots everything about leadership and management you've probably read in other places—if you’ve done much reading on the topic—not adding anything new or a sense of the author's personal experience in leadership and management. I found myself wondering if this book was generated by AI, as far too many nonfiction books are starting to be. Audible allows publishers to include a PDF along with audiobooks, and I think most nonfiction books could benefit from it. While it wouldn't have helped the content, a PDF would help the reader ponder actionable ideas and refer easily to anything they might find of value. If you've read any management/leadership books or blogs, little in here will be new or helpful to you.

No Steps or Anything New
