What did you love best about Melted by the Lion?

Being that it was paranormal, I knew I would love it, shifters and weres being my favorite. The story line was different than I had ever read before. The story read fast and kept me interested.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Savannah was my favorite because of her romantic ideas and her love of animals. She was always putting herself at risk to rescue animals and humans alike and she stuck to her guns about having a true relationship with a lover and future father of her children.

Which scene was your favorite?

There are many of great scenes in this book and hard to pick just one. The one that stands out in my mind when I finished was when Savannah risks all to rescue Princess and also to save Veronica, knowing that she would risk Trevor's wrath. Doing the right thing was more important than losing Trevor.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Besides the 2 scenes I mentioned above, the moment when she was in the hospital near the end of the story. She was telling Trevor that she couldn't change her ways even if it meant losing him. Then Trevor allayed her fears and excepted her as she was, promising her his love and a future together.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Yes, more hot scenes less blah blah head talk. Story line was pretty good but just needed more love scenes and more that extra something!!

Would you be willing to try another book from Amira Rain? Why or why not?

Yes, like I said the book wasn't bad it just wasn't HOT!!

Did Meghan Kelly do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I thought she was an OK narrator not great but not horrible.

Was Melted by the Lion worth the listening time?

Yes it was worth a listen.

This book was given to me by the author for a honest review. I honestly feel that the book is OK. It has a pretty good story line, I just feel like it could have been better. I don't feel like I need to know what happened to the characters and that is different for me, I normally care. Also the love scenes were just OK not really descriptive. I did like Savannah though.

This book was an out of the ordinary read for me. It was a fun and well read book. I would read other books by the author or that are narrated by Meghan Kelly. I like that the author gave you a short glimpse into the future of the characters.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I enjoyed the authors characters. There was a nice blend of drama and humor.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The love scenes would have been more effective if they had kept the contemporary flavor. The language was too flowery. The world building was weak. After stating the futuristic premise of a post nuclear apocalypse two thousand years in the future, I was disappointed that the day-to-day items and routines were distinctly present day.

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ms. Kelly does an admirable job of keeping the character voices distinct and consistent. Her southern accents were adorable and her masculine voice for the male lead was perfect. Made me a little weak in the knees. A reaction that only a few female narrator's generate.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. The pace of the narration, especially the first half, was a little to fast for me. While understanding wasn't the problem, the speed didn't allow me to visually paint the scene in my imagination. It was just a couple clicks faster than a conversational pace (especially for those southern characters if you know what I mean).

Overall an enjoyable listen. I did receive a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I received a promo code in exchange for a honest review. I am so glad I did. The writer did an amazing job describing not just the characters but everything. From the description of Trevor ' s mane to the description of Savanah 's ceiling. Image watching a movie not just in HD but also through in 3D too. The story grabs and holds your attention from the get go and never looks back. Though the story is based in the future with shifters being a result of a nuclear disaster I still found it very realistic and a wonderful paranormal romance book. I thought the narrator did a great job with this piece. If there is any problem to be found with this creative and enjoyable work, it is that I wasn't ready for it to end. I wanted more. This is the first story from this author for me but one thing is for sure, it will not be my last. Truly pleased with it. I am sure if you love shifters like I do, you' ll be pleased also.

Commander Trevor Beaumont, WereLion and head of the newly sovereign nation of Louisiana wants a pride with several heirs and no romantic ties. Savannah & Veronica are woman from a past where fertile women were a rarity. Some of these women volunteered to be frozen and revived at a time of great need.

I enjoyed the story but would have liked a few more 'steamy' scenes, especially after hearing about the benefits of a shifter to love making.

Amira Rain wrote a fabulous lead female, Savannah. She is head strong, snarky, kind, snarky, determined, and did I say snarky? I adore well written sarcastic characters.

Meghan Kelly did a fabulous job narrating giving each character a voice and attitude of their own. She is one of the few female readers who can create a truly swoon worthy male voice.

The story was interesting for the most part. The dialogue was often stupid though. But what really dragged the story down was the narrators tone and attempts at different voices was a nightmare to listen to. Much like nails on a chalk board. .
