Lawyers and art and kisses, oh my!

As a lawyer for A-list Hollywood actors, Jillian Price's job is soul-sucking, and she needs a way out. She may have found one - at a yard sale. Across a junk-strewn lawn, she spies a painting that makes her heart stop. It looks to be a lost masterpiece! With that painting she could have it all: the new job, her own gallery, and even the guy - gorgeous banker Aero Jantzen.

However, the last person she would expect to start throwing a wrench into her plans is the guy who inspired her to chase the painting in the first place. Keeping a grip on her acquisition might just require a merger.

Mergers & Acquisitions is the third book in Jennifer Griffith's Legally in Love series. Each book is a stand-alone clean romance with a guaranteed HEA, lots of swoony kisses, and a legal twist.

Matched by a surfer dude teen

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I enjoyed the book from the beginning especially when I started eye-rolling the heroine because she was sending all of the signals that she wanted that painting instead of just waiting. The guy said my wife said to give it away and she should have offered him ten bucks and took off. But the story got more interesting and the humor made it better for me. The narration was good and added to the story.

This series just gets better.

While I really enjoy Jennifer Griffith romances, this one has all the warmth and heart I've found in so many of her other books.
Watching them struggle as they try to find how their lives could fit together amidst the struggles and conflicts, at several points, i couldn't see how it could get worked out. But Jennifer has a talent for untwisting messes of the heart.

Match made by a teenager

This was an enjoyable story. Jullian had a lot going for her, but had a sense of going no where in her life. She went to a yard sale and made a priceless discovery. Jullian is a lawyer and meets up with her teenage client and his new agent, Aero. The sparks flew while floating down the tunnel of love and the kiss that Jullian and Aero were forced to make. Julian left the meeting and pursued her dreams of owning an art gallery. The story had a little mystery that added to the book. The chemistry between Jullian and Aero was electric. The narrator did an excellent job on this book. I enjoyed how she portrayed the characters and kept the plot moving. I recommend this book to those that enjoy romance, art and meddling teenagers.

Art, love and blue eyes

4.5 stars. I love to listen to books while cleaning the house or driving but the one drawback is I can't highlight favorite lines or the super swoony parts.

Jillian Price studied art history and loves art, but she's an attorney at a top talent agency in Los Angeles. Jillian's good at her job and is on the fast track, but this job is sucking the life out of her. On the way to a meeting with one of her clients she finds a painting at a yard sale that could be a lost masterpiece. She can't wait to have it looked at by a professional.

One of her main clients, a teenage heartthrob named Ryker, calls for a meeting at an amusement park (it's Ryker's thing so you just have to go with it), where Jilly (that's what Ryker calls her) meets his new agent, the gorgeous Aero Jantzen, who has the bluest eyes she's ever seen. He happens to be an investment banker and gives her the inspiration to open an art gallery if her garage sale find is the real thing. Everytime Jillian mentions how blue Aero's eyes are (and she does that a lot) the chorus from the song Electric Blue by Icehouse, from the 80's, popped into my head.

Jillian realizes her dream of opening a gallery, then Aero suddenly wants the painting that's the main attraction, but he won't tell her why. Jillian doesn't understand but knows this could be the end of their blossoming relationship.

This is my first book by Jennifer Griffith, and I liked Jillian. She was willing to walk away from the security of a high paying job to live her dream. Aero sounded so dreamy and they were so good together. Ryker was hilarious. On the audiobook he sounded like total California surfer dude. Lol

Mergers & Acquisitions is part of the Legally in Love series but each book can read by itself.

I thought the narrator, Janine Granda, did a wonderful job with the different characters and loved her version of Ryker.

Continuation of a great series.

I love Jennifer Griffith stories. The series has 4 books and this is book 3. The narrator for the other three is fabulous. The performance of the female narrator for this book is below average. Her voice is very high and juvenile. She makes even the adult males sound like 12-13 year olds. I am keeping it because I love the author and the series.

So Swoony!

WHAT IT'S ABOUT
Jillian Price, a lawyer at a top L.A. talent agency, feels trapped in a life-draining job despite representing a renowned young star. Craving change, she discovers a potential masterpiece by a deceased artist at a yard sale, seeing it as her escape to the art world she's always dreamed of.

Her life takes a twist when she meets Aero Jantzen, a striking banker who unexpectedly opposes her new path after sparking a deep connection with a single kiss. As Jillian navigates this complex blend of ambition and attraction, she finds herself entangled in Hollywood's glamour, the secretive art scene, and a journey of self-discovery in picturesque Pasadena.

MY TAKE
Griffith's books never disappoint. I can always count on great romantic tension between the love interests but also some great growth for the characters as well. This is such a touching story and the side characters are so fun. Totally swoony ending!

Janine Granda did a great job as the narrator!

A clean standalone story with an excellent narrator. This story told in first person has a little too much description and thought process/inner dialog for my total enjoyment, hence the lower score. It makes it difficult to put myself in the place of the characters or get lost in the story itself. I think a few descriptive emotional words can convey more.

The overall story was good and the characters interesting.
